The pectoral muscles (pec major & minor) play a key role in shoulder movement and posture.

When they become tight or overactive — common with desk work 💻, cycling 🚴‍♂️, gym training 🏋️‍♀️, or repetitive forward movements — they can pull the shoulders forward and limit mobility.

This may contribute to:
👉Rounded shoulder posture
👉Restricted overhead movement
👉Ongoing shoulder tension or discomfort

We’re so excited to welcome Marianne to the clinic! Originally from Germany, she’s called NZ home for 30 years.

With a background as a Registered Nurse and 6 years as a massage therapist, Marianne offers therapeutic & sports massage, incorporating myofascial techniques to support pain relief, recovery, and better movement.

⛅ Race Day Weather Check ⛅

Expect a crisp start around 6°C for race start, warming to a high of 16°C - great running conditions!

Queenstown’s alpine weather can change quickly, so here’s how to stay comfy and race strong:

👕 Layer Up! Start warm with breathable layers - it is better to remove layers while you run than wish you had more.
👟 Bag drop essentials: Pack warm clothes, dry socks & shoes for the finish (or hand off to your support crew).
♻️ Leave-behind layer: Bring an extra layer that you are happy to leave at the start line – where possible, please ensure this is cotton or polyester as these will be donated or recycled.
💧 Hydrate: Cooler temps still mean high hydration needs - don’t skip those fluids!
