Sleep is absolutely necessary. I remember when I suffered chronic fatigue in my 30’s all I thought about was how I would get more sleep.

Sleep ins, power naps, rest, early nights but none of that cured my tiredness. Even after 14 hours sleep I still couldn’t function like I used to, I stayed foggy and tired and wondered what was wrong with me. All tests I had done said I was fine.

Turns out I was miserable and pretending I wasn’t. Every drop of energy I had went into a facade of pretending I was happy. It used to work!

I had some really toxic behaviours causing this fatigue:

Never saying how I felt
Avoiding conflict
Not asking for what I wanted
Walking on egg shells
Picking up crumbs of affection
Saying yes when I meant no
Pleasing, being a yes girl
Negative overthinking
Voiceless
Filling another’s cup in the hope they would be happy and everything would work out
Living in denial
Choosing fear and staying immobilised
Refusing to change
Blaming and not owning my part
Feeling guilty ALL the time

OMG no wonder I had chronic fatigue!

I help lots and lots of people out of these patterns. It comes down to something simple.

Go back through that list and reverse the statements, say the opposite.

What I suffered from was emotional
Chaos and I was immobilised by fear and guilt.

All because everyday I was ungrounded and living in my head. I was trapped in the downward spiral and my body and brain was being given repeated messages to stay there. To stay in the dark.

So what do you think happens when you start to give your body opposite signals? Your body stops repeating and starts listening.

If you are in any of those patterns just choose one thing and focus on just changing that!

Your brain won’t recognise you! Once you have changed one thing try another and so on until you bust out of these toxic energy zapping patterns.

I love this quote and wished I had done more things to stimulate my awakening from sleeping beauty living in fear to who I am today.

Now I do recognise how to nourish my soul. How to spark my inner flame that expands me and lets in my light. Light is the real form of energy that brings us to life.

Just like waking up with the morning sunrise. Get yourself out of the darkness of negativity and repeated stagnant behaviours. Bring yourself back to life with what YOU need ❤️🙏❤️
