Yum!! Here’s a simple, delicious bowl I've just made that’s as good for your gut as it is for your taste buds! This is one of my favourite recipes you can store in the fridge that will last a few days. Plus soooo easy to make! Waihi Bush Organics flax oil and apple cider vinegar are used for their freshness and pure, clean flavours.

This recipe is perfect for lunch or dinner — and you can enjoy it hot or cold. 💚

🥣 Nourishing Brown Rice Bowl — for Gut Health & Everyday Energy!

✨ What you’ll need:

Cooked brown rice - 1 or 2 cups

A couple of handfuls of coleslaw mix (grated carrot, cabbage & onion)

A sprinkle of your favourite seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, chia – whatever you love!)

Optional: Add some protein like shredded chicken, tuna, salmon or tofu for extra nourishment.

🌸 The real star is the dressing!

It’s full of healing, anti-inflammatory ingredients that support digestion and overall wellness.

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup tbsp flax oil

1 tablespoon manuka honey

A big sprinkle of fennel seeds + cumin powder

🌿 A little natural success story from our household!

I wanted to share a recent win treating some strange, wart-like bumps on my son’s leg. He’d had these little lumps for almost a year — some looked like typical rough-textured warts, while others were smoother and more pearly.

We decided to try apple cider vinegar, and the results were incredible. For six nights in a row before bed, we soaked a small cotton ball in APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, squeezed out the excess, placed it on the warts, and secured it with a plaster. In the morning, we removed it and let the area air out.

After just one night, the warts started to darken — and each night after, they continued to get darker and drier. By the end of the week, they had completely dried up and fell off! 🙌

It was amazing to watch the healing process in action — you could literally see the warts dying off and the roots being destroyed. All thanks to the therapeutic power of apple cider vinegar — that humble natural remedy most of us already have sitting in the pantry! 🍎✨

Next time we do this I will make sure to take before and after photos!

🤢 There has been a nasty gastro bug going around lately and it's been hitting young and old. Here are some gentle, natural ways to help your body fight it & recover 🌿

AT THE FIRST SIGN OF NAUSEA, VOMITING, TUMMY CRAMPS OR LOOSE STOOLS.

✨ Take activated charcoal - 1 teaspoon in a big glass of water or 4 capsules. Do this again 3 - 4 hours later.

✨ Colloidal Silver is also another fabulous natural medicine to take to stop a tummy bug in its tracks. Take it straight or mix with water (I prefer straight and it tastes just like water).
It's great for getting into kids! 30 - 50mls mls at the onset and 30mls again every 3-4 hours on that first day.

✨ Garlic and oregano oil are also great to kill the harmful bacteria that cause gastro bugs.

💧 Hydrate
Sip water, herbal teas, or coconut water to replace lost fluids and minerals. Add a little sea salt + honey to water for a natural electrolyte boost.

🌱 Rest your tummy
Skip solid foods for 12–24 hours if you’re still queasy. When ready, start back with light foods — banana, rice, toast, or broth.

🌼 Soothe nausea
Ginger, cinnamon & peppermint teas work wonders for calming the stomach and easing cramps.

🦠 Restore your gut
Once you’re feeling better, add probiotics or fermented foods (like yoghurt, kombucha or sauerkraut) to bring your healthy bacteria back into balance.

🍎 Gentle healing foods
Stick with soups, porridge, and steamed veggies for a few days — avoid dairy, sugar, and fried foods until your digestion settles.

If symptoms last longer than a few days, or you can’t keep fluids down, make sure to see your healthcare provider. 💛
