Thank you for trusting me with such special moments, welcoming me into your lives, and sharing your journeys with me this year. It’s a privilege I never take lightly.

I am taking 12 days off in August from 03/08/25 - 14/08/25.
During this time, Shelley Bean Midwife will be covering all calls and providing urgent care if needed.
She will also be completing all routine antenatal and postnatal checks.

Hey team! I have a wee favour to ask 🤞

I am having my midwifery standards review soon and as part of that I need to gather feedback from the amazing families I have worked alongside over the past 3 years, including families past and present - if I was with you the whole journey, met part way through, or supported you through loss. Your feedback is crucial in shaping my practice and enabling me to provide the best care as possible.

I am passionate about making everyones experience positive and supportive, and continously reflect on the way I provide care. But, there are always things I could do better. That said, I would really value that any constructive/critical feedback has some comments and context to help me understand what I could have done differently for you.

There is space to comment on individual components of care and also a space down the bottom for general comments.

All feedback is anonymous (unless you make comments that would tell me who you are) and sent straight to the New Zealand College of Midwives for review and then made available for me to view and reflect on. It should only takes a few minutes and I would truely appreciate it ❤️

A huge thank you to the families that have already provided feedback on this platform, you do not need to do this again unless it's related to a different pregnancy.

These local classes offer the opportunity to gain knowledge to help you make informed decisions about your journey and help the transition into parenthood. You will also connect with other families due around the same time and potentially develop lifelong friendships like I did during classes with my first child!

The educators are two amazing, friendly, and passionate local women with a wealth of knowledge that will guide you through all you need to know about welcoming your baby and helping them grow and thrive.

Although there is a $75 charge per woman and support person, you will recieve a 1 year membership to the parents centre, valued at $75! So you will have access to the other great courses and programs they have to offer.

This holiday season, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the amazing families I’ve had the honor of supporting this year. Watching your families grow has been a true privilege and a reminder of the magic of new beginnings.

Must be something in the water lately as I have been overwhelmed with calls from women wanting midwifery care.

I am so grateful for the continued support and always feel so honored when families choose me to work alongside them 🤗
Although I would love to beable to work with each and every one of you, I also need to be mindful that to provide the best care possible, I need to keep the number of women I care for at a manageable level. When midwives book women, we determine availability by the month they are due.

Currently I have no availability for new clients with due dates before September 2025

I will however, continue to book returning clients regardless of due dates 🩷
