I just finished this Darth Vader longboard painting.

I tried to make the light saber glow a little, by using a bit of blending and making the light saber the only white thing on the board.

I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, although I do need to work on my blending skills as it’s not something I do very often in my paintings.

I found the 2024 Lululemon Global Well-being Report: The Pressure to Be Well, really interesting.

What are the biggest takeaways?

Nearly half of people report experiencing “wellbeing burnout”.

Not from ignoring their health….

… but from the pressure of constantly trying to improve it.

The report, which included 16,000 people, found:
- 61% feel pressure to appear well
- 53% feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice

Honestly, I think a lot of people can relate to that.

There’s so much information online now that well-being can start to feel like a full-time job.

That’s why I always come back to the basics and what I call habits before exercise.

Stick to the basics of health, and then build from there.

Small things, done regularly, matter more than most people think.

We spent the day today celebrating Sonya’s graduation.

Over the last 4 years or so, Sonya has been working hard studying part time, along with working and looking after the kids (and me😜).

It was her passion to study human nutrition, and today was the culmination of that dream.

The girls and I are so proud of her 😊 and we were so happy to be able to spend the day together.

Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest difference…

If you spend a lot of your day at a computer and often deal with:
- tightness in your neck, shoulders, or upper back
- headaches
- that “stiff” feeling by the end of the day

It might not be a big problem…
It could just be a few simple things in your setup.

Small ergonomic changes, like the one shown in the video, can take pressure off your body and make a noticeable difference over time.

They don’t need to be dramatic, just small tweaks, in the right places.

I love this quote from Dutch author Alexander den Heijer.

“When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it is grown, not the flower”

This quote applies to lots of things in life, like this plant of mine, but also our health.

Sometimes when it comes to getting over an injury or health challenges, we focus more on “the flower” rather than the environment that potentially caused it in the first place.

If you really want long term results. Don’t simply think about trying to fix the flower, look to improve the environment instead.

The Pallof Press is one of my favorite core exercises.

A lot of people I show, haven’t heard of it before, but it’s a great exercise to add to your existing core workout.

In this video, I show how to do the Pallof Press, along with some progressions and variations to help keep it interesting and challenging.
