Did you know that rolling the bottom of your feet can actually loosen up your hamstrings and lower back?

A study found that just a few minutes of foot rolling using a tennis all improved flexibility by over 2cm (without even stretching the back or legs).

It’s another reminder that your body works as one connected system.

When your feet move better, everything above moves better too.

Grab a ball and give it a go… your back will thank you!

Dr Peter Attia says: “The aim of the game as you get older is to never leave the game”.

That doesn’t mean you need to train the same way you did in your 20s. It means being smart, adapting, modifying, and finding ways to keep you in the game.

Because the real goal isn’t perfection, it’s participation.

It’s staying in the game, long-term.

Did you know better sleep isn’t just about what you do at night?

Research shows that regular exercise could improve both the quality in duration of your sleep. The catch? It doesn’t happen after just one workout, the benefits build slowly over weeks of consistency.

I’m currently reading a book called “limitless” by Jim Kwik.

In the book, Jim talks about some research by Dr. BJ Fogg about how to create lasting behavioral or habit change.

He said that Dr. Fogg has found that there are only three ways to create lasting change:
1. Have an epiphany.
2. Changing your environment.
3. Taking tiny steps.

Of these 3, number 2 and 3 are probably most likely.

We can change our environment, although it’s not always in our control, but we can definitely make small changes.

I always say making small consistent changes can lead to staggering long-term results, and Dr. Fogg‘s research backs this up.

This was the strangest conversation I’ve had at a supermarket…

A lady said to me that I must run a lot because I look athletic, and then compared me to a thoroughbred. The truth is… I don’t run at all.

What I do is walk regularly, eat well, and stay consistent with exercise.

Now I don’t know if I look like a thoroughbred (as she suggested) but I’m gonna take it as a compliment.

Healthy habits speak for themselves.

A little bit about us...

I am a chiropractor, father of 2 beautiful girls, husband and part time artist. My goal is to help people FEEL, MOVE and FUNCTION better. I achieve this through, chiropractic adjustments, exercise/movement prescription and advice. I practice what I preach by getting adjusted, eating well (most of the time) and exercising regularly. We also need to rest and I use my artwork as my way to de-stress.

I like to live by the mantra “Try to move more things, more often”. It is a simple fact that if we all moved a little more and did it regularly, you will be amazed at how good you can feel, and how easy it can be.

I hope to provide lots of useful information, tips and tools that you can use to help your own body feel, move and function better. Watch our videos, read our blogs on our website and most importantly....... try them. I know if you do, your body will thank you for it.
