Iāll be honest ā at 30, I was deep in comparison mode. Wondering where I āshouldā be. Measuring my life next to someone elseās timeline.
But 40? 40 feels completely different. It feels like a privilege.
I was lucky enough to be celebrated by so many wonderful people last weekend ā from my older brother flying in for the weekend, to a video montage of messages from all of my favourite people that my younger brother put together (which had me laughing and crying over my morning cacao in the kitchen in the best way!)
From my husbandās speech in front of our friends and family at my party, to all the texts, hugs, voice notes, gifts, to the limo driver, and a very special photographer friend who captured every moment that evening.
Turning 40 has also made me reflect on this chapter ā the one Iām building through my work. The amazing women Iāve had the joy of meeting and collaborating with. The kind of people who remind you why you started.
So while I might not be where 30-year-old me thought Iād be - Iām exactly where Iām meant to be. And it feels really, really good.
