Feathers turn up in the oddest of places for me at the moment!
This little one was driving around all day with me today stuck on the outside of my windscreen!
Super cute.
When working with a family I always have them turn up.
Am I looking for them? Maybe. Coincidence? maybe.
But whatever it is I take it as a sign to reach out with a hello, how is your day. Its usually meet with, your needed. πŸ’œ
This role of mine is such a blessing. I meet the most magnificent humans with the most enlightening things to say.
I always leave that job feeling relaxed, grateful, humbled and enlightened.

A beautiful humbling watch.

In this emotional interview, the late actor and ALS advocate Eric Dane shared his final message for the world β€” knowing it would not air until his death.

I awoke to a head on my chest in the middle of the night, my 7yr old had jumped into my bed after a nightmare, he said "you know why I can hear your heart so loud?" "because its so big"
What a beautiful boy. Always saying the most profound things since he could speak.
I think Abe will be, or is part, of my Doula Journey in some way.
I have always thought those big black eyes come from a place thats familiar yet so hard to place.
Im excited to see where this turn in the road is taking me. Excited, apprehensive and calmness all laid out in front of me.

A little battered feather waiting to be picked, a beautiful battered flower from my garden also waiting to be picked.
Together they are imperfectly imperfect, in my world, perfect.

A beautiful human doing her Mahi.
Such a great article on what Doulas do and how we can service your needs.
Great read for those who just spoke with me at the Death Cafe! πŸ˜‰

An end-of-life doula is like a midwife at the other end of life, helping people and/or their families make the transition from life to death.

HOKITIKA!!
What a amazing turn out to our Death Cafe!! We nearly had to move it into the theater!

Over 20 beautiful kind faces were brave enough to step down into the underground Green Room at the Regent Theatre Hokitika. Now that is a incredible space 😍😍 it must have taken great courage to not only walk into something called a "Death Cafe" but going down dark stairs to a underground room made it even more scary!
The Theatre crew have done a stella job down there and I highly recommend you go take a look at it for your next function!!
Big thanks also to Megan on the machine with quite a walk to deliver our coffees, AND THE CAKES!!! πŸ˜‹

To all that came, thank you for sharing, crying laughing and being kind to each other, so much respect was held in that 1 space and I hope you took something positive home from it. (Even if It was just some cakeπŸ˜‰)

West Coast Health, thank you for your support again and fixing up our bill, we appreciate it more than you know.

Until the next time...
😘
