Infant and Maternity Nutrition

I moved down to Dunedin in 2013, 2 years after I finished high school at Kaitaia College. I was working at Te Hiku Dental (Number One Dental back then) which inspired me to pursue dentistry! I was out of my element and so far from home, but was determined to succeed! My parents both study and my sister was also going to Dunedin to pursue Medicine so we did it! Fast forward to 2015, I didn’t get the grades I needed to get into Dentistry after Health Science so pursued Nutrition instead and since completing my degree in 2016 I developed a love for all things nutrition, particularly during pregnancy and infancy. The journey was not easy but having the whanau support really made a difference! I graduated (in absentee, decided to come straight home) and got a job at Noel Leeming where I have been for 3 years now. 2 babies and 3 years later I am now working part time, a mum to 2 beautiful boys, settled and ready to take the next step in pursuing this passion of mine to support mums (parents) and babies in all aspects of pregnancy, birth and infancy around nutrition. I can’t wait to finally start getting things moving and look forward to learning and experiencing more along the way. I am now in the process of reaching out to our surrounding organisations and services to figure out the best way to provide my support. Nga mihi nunui
