Welcome to True North Wellbeing Hub, where you can cultivate holistic wellness through group Yoga and Pilates classes, private Infrared Sauna sessions, or soothing massages. True North Yoga caters for all fitness levels, beginners are most welcome, in a fun and friendly workout environment. Beach Yoga is on during the Summer months. Downward Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) isn’t just a rest pose—it’s a full-body reset. Here’s how to make it feel amazing:

Hands: Spread fingers wide, press evenly through palms.
Feet: Hip-width apart, heels reaching toward the mat.
Spine: Keep it long (bend knees if hamstrings are tight).
Shoulders: Push the floor away, rotate upper arms out.
Head: Relax, gaze between your feet.

✨ Pro Tips:

Pedal out the feet to open hamstrings.

Micro-bend elbows (no joint locking).

Focus on lengthening, not forcing heels down.

To be grounded means feeling stable, calm, and fully present — like your feet are firmly planted in the here and now, even if life is busy or stressful.

It’s about having:

Emotional steadiness – you respond instead of react.

Mental clarity – your thoughts feel organised, not scattered.

Physical presence – you feel connected to your body, not “floating” in your head.

A sense of belonging – you feel anchored to yourself and your surroundings.

In yoga and mindfulness, being grounded is often linked to the Root Chakra (Muladhara), the energy centre that gives us security, stability, and trust in life.

You can think of it like a tree — your roots run deep into the earth, so no matter the weather, you can bend without breaking. 🌳

True North Yoga Northland offers 60-90 minute Iyengar Yoga and HIIT Fitness classes (High Intensity Interval Training) and occasionally some Dance Fitness.
