The stats will tell you ... Every year an estimated 8-10 million tonnes of plastic waste enters the oceans, and that micoplastics are found in water, food and human organs, and is linked to cancer and endocrine disorders.
Your heart will tell you as you read this that it is awful and you may feel a range of emotions from sadness anger, guilt, frustration and fear.
I am appealing to your soul, this effects us all, you can be a thread in the web for change, do what you can everyday and support those who have picked up the sword to fight for change.
On the weekend I was honored to meet an extraordinary young woman April Howard who has taken up the sword, and is fighting for those drowning in plastics.
Voices of the Pacific, is a documentary unveiling the Pacific Islanders' fight against the rising tide of plastic pollution devastating their environment and way of life. This is our backyard, the time for action is now.
