A morning off brings me back to nature and remembering the vibrancy that exists in all of life. A memory springs to mind of my first yoga teacher, Trish and the image of her, a mature woman who would literally bounce on her heels into class with a heart full of joy. Back when I was a depressed and anxious single parent with two very small children to care for I was captivated by the quality of joy that oozed life into her teaching . Often we would begin with some dance or other form of free movement . This memory of Trish and her joy serves as a reminder to spend part of your day with a heart-led playful activity. Whether it’s dancing to your favourite song, playing music, singing, drawing, writing, sitting in your garden, playing with a pet, walking in nature. Commit to joy. To play. To vibrancy and the words of a song that are playing g out in my mind ~
I always loved you from the start
But I couldn’t figure out
that I had to do it everyday
So I put away the fight
and now i’m gonna live my life
givin you the best of every day.
