I thought, as we head toward the end of the year, it’s a good time to re-introduce myself — and share a little of my story.
I grew up in a small, happy-spirited town in Japan, where my journey with massage began quite naturally. My grandmother often had neck and shoulder aches and would ask me to massage her. At first, I did it for a bit of pocket money — but I quickly realised how much comfort, relief, and happiness a simple touch could bring. That feeling has stayed with me ever since.
After moving to New Zealand, I decided to follow that passion and study professionally. I completed Relaxation Massage Level 4 at the Southern Institute of Technology in Invercargill, and hold additional training in Reflexology, Visceral Manipulation (Abdomen 1), and First Aid Level 1.
Across the past 15 years, I’ve been fortunate to work in several clinics and support many clients through different stages of their wellbeing. I’ve also continued to expand my skills with Myofascial Release (MFR) training with Beth Beauchamp, completing MFR Foundation, Upper Body, and Lower Body.
Massage for me is more than just a technique — it’s a way to connect, to listen to the body, and to bring a sense of ease and balance. Each session is an opportunity to help someone feel more relaxed, grounded, and at home in themselves.
Thank you for being part of my journey 💛
