Connecting with the whenua, tending to Papatūānuku , working with the rongoā is Remembering. 🌱 When we tend to Papatūānuku, we tend to our Roots, our whakapapa. When we work with Plant medicines we tend to our bodies, Spirit. Our Ancestors live through us.
We are all stewards of the Earth, we have purpose & impact here. We have to remember. The Earth connects us all. We remember we are part of Creation. We are Nature. Separation is an illusion, meant to keep us disconnected, lonely, distracted, and longing. 🕸️
When we are on the whenua, māra, or making rongoā, we attune to those vibrations. We create sacred boundaries as our resonance shifts, we tune out distractions & return. To Purpose.
We may store trauma in our bodies, sometimes cognitive processing isn’t enough. Communing with the whenua, remembering our place among Creation, may help move some of that energy {w/ support}.
What the plants and rongoā offer us may help shift our perspectives. Release. Repair. This doesn’t mean we magically feel ‘better,’ it may still be difficult. We may begin to understand how to navigate these bodies & the complexities. Be Present.
This remembering is part of restoring harmony within; collectively. Coming back into good relationship with all of Creation. With one another.
Through witnessing the processes of Nature, we begin to relate to our own authentic Nature as well. We remember we are not separate from, but deeply woven together. Our own physiology mirrors that of Nature, Papatūānuku, and the Wai.
We deepen discernment as we attune to the vibrations of the Earth, tuning out noise.
Our bodies release oxytocin, the same hormone when in love, when we Birth(!), when we return to the Land. We release dopamine & serotonin when we work with the Plants, our Heart rate syncs with the Heart beat, Drum, of Earth.
We cultivate and align our rhythms, our blood memory & Ancient DNA that weaves us to Papatūānuku {did you know we have Plant DNA too?!} If we allow space for ourselves to remember & to just Be.
Plants are some of our greatest teachers, wise Elders. The Land wants us back too, kin. They are showing us the way, we must choose to listen.
