Mothers are some of the most judged people on earth. Sometimes, everything we do is met with criticism, an eye roll, or an opinion from others.

This isn't new information; I would guess that every mother has felt this at some stage. But the truth is, parenting looks different for everyone.

Every child is different, every parent is different, and every household and set of circumstances is different. No one knows what works best for us or our children better than ourselves.

A good mother can present in many different ways, and just because it doesn't align with you or how you parent doesn't make her any less of a mother.

As long as we are parenting with love and it's working for us, we are doing it right.

This is why I do what I do! The reason I got in to this line of work was to help families navigate one of the most crucial, important and often the most confusing areas of parenthood.

When it isn't going well, the stress levels of both parents and baby are felt through the home. We are often told that this is all a part of having a child, but it doesn't have to be.

There is help available. Chasing Dreams is dedicated to educating and guiding parents through their sleep challenges, which in turn, has a positive impact on every area of your day-to-day life.

Messages like these never get old and continually make my day. This milestone was reached after only one week.

NO cry it out, no leaving bub to cry. You don't need to! With just a few adjustments in timing and settling techniques, parents can gradually reduce their involvement in physically putting bub to sleep. This approach enables them to learn to be able to put themselves back to sleep when they wake slightly during the night when transitioning to their next sleep cycle

I have been unsure whether to share this, but this has been a year of stepping out of my comfort zone and doing things that make me a little uncomfortable (in a good way). Public speaking and interviews of any kind have been a challenge for me since becoming an adult and it's something I want to practice and get better at which is why I decided to reach out to Helen to share my story.. This platform is predominantly about helping your baby/child with their sleep, but it is also about how to make life with little ones easier so you can thrive during the stage you're in, instead of just surviving it. If you have had a traumatic birth and are worried about the birth of your next one, this story might be able to give you a little hope that it doesn't mean history will repeat itself. Please don't listen if hearing about a traumatic birth is triggering in anyway. I have shared this, not because it will appeal to everyone, but to help any mamas out there wanting to gain a different perspective during their pregnancy following a tough birth.

And the WINNER is.......

Early morning wakes - What is considered too early? I prefer to make that assessment on a case by case basis looking at the individual sleep needs of that child and their day as a whole. Not every child needs to sleep until "7am" to have their sleep needs met
