Our e hoa have had fun finding elf hiding in the mornings, dancing to Christmas songs & enjoying all things Christmas 🎄🎅

Today we’ve made cookies and about to jump into Santa crafts! We’ve enjoyed ice blocks with no sun and gaps in the weather.

We had a special visitor show up in his sleigh today! Our tamariki were all so enticed and absolutely stoked to be given a gift! This year we supported early literacy and reading through our sustainable book swap, which Whanau and children loved! We then did face painting, wrote letters to Santa and made reindeer food alongside a healthy dose of ice block.

Thank you to everyone who brought in a book, everyone that came to celebrate and those who couldn’t make it, you should have some photos coming your way!

Last night, we came together for our team Christmas function. We spent a few hours picking fresh flowers, learning how to do a spiral bouquet and all about the flowers we were picking. It was relaxing and fab way to wind down over drinks and kai..

Special thanks to our team for their hard mahi! Its been a ride with a change of ownership and all that comes with a new perspective and change. I appreciate your willingness to try new things for the benefit of our tamariki.❤️

Last week, my whānau and I packed up and made the move back to the mighty Waikato.

As hectic as moves are, with animals and children and long distances, we are home. It feels so good to be back after 5 years up North.

You’ll be seeing me around a lot more, alongside my daughter, Pippa, who did her first transition visit yesterday!

In Hiwa Ako last week we were super lucky to be invited to watch our local schools perform in a Kapahaka festival at the Matamata College.

It was a beautiful day for a walk, we enjoyed the sunshine on the way and we were all in awe watching the incredible performances that we got to see. Even more special as we got to watch tamariki that used to attend Rose and Clive, perform with their school 🥰

We are so thankful to have been invited to this Kapahaka performance, witnessing the hard work of many tamariki as they show us their waiata and Kapahaka performance. All tamariki had huge smiles on their faces, and clapped loudly for the performers.

On our other days for Hiwa Ako, we created paper monsters with colouring and gluing on googly eyes - we had amazing creations! We’re still loving the board games, building on our memory skills and team work skills!
