The result has been undertreatment of symptoms that can be debilitating for women in midlife. In the late 1990s, more than 1 in 4 postmenopausal women were taking hormones to manage symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings and night sweats. By 2020, that number had dropped to about 1 in 25!!!

I stand behind science, and here in NZ we are blessed with several ways women in perimenopause and menopause can support their bodies with declining levels of Estrogen, progesterone and testosterone.

Please don't let yourself be dismissed.

HRT - systemic Estrogen and Progesteron, and topical and vaginal estrogen and Testosterone are safe for the majority of women.

MEAL UNDER 10 MINUTES! Under 500kcal with 25g protein!

Flavour!!! That's one thing I can't go without.

But THIS is often my lunch or dinner.

I always keep roasted veggies in the fridge, or just throw some tossed in a bit of oil into the air fryer.
Another must-have in my fridge is a hard-boiled egg
Then I improvise from here.

What other veggies are in the fridge?
Miz some yummy dressing.
Top it up with more flavour and protein.
Spice it up.

THROW TOGETHER SALAD
Full bowl of goodness keeping me full for hours.

OPTIONS:
Use rotisserie chicken or canned salmon/tuna
Add beans or chickpeas
Use different veggies
Add some nuts or seeds
Mix match dressings
Make it simple

HRT and testosterone are usually the first-line treatment for symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, and for the vast majority of women, the benefits from taking HRT outweigh any risks.

HRT and testosterone are usually the first-line treatment for symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, and for the vast majority of women, the benefits from taking HRT outweigh any risks. This means that there are also risks with hormonal contraceptives, as these all contain synthetic hormones.

Women taking estrogen-only HRT have been shown to have a lower future risk of developing breast cancer compared to women not taking any HRT.

- have a diet rich in antioxidants and fibre
- limit consumption of alcohol (wine too) and eliminate smoking
- support your liver in regulating estrogen in your body

- move your body daily
