Last week we said goodbye to Joe. 👋

Joe is heading back to the UK with his fiancée Jess, and while we're absolutely thrilled for them both and their exciting plans ahead, we're also really going to miss them.

From day one, Joe brought an energy, positivity and sense of humour to our customer support team that was genuinely infectious — the kind that lifts the whole team without him even realising it. These qualities are rare, and we've been lucky to have him. 💚

A mad sports fan, we couldn't let Joe leave without a little piece of Aotearoa to take with him — a Warriors supporter tee and an All Whites shirt. May he wear them with pride. 😜

Haere rā, Joe — go well, and know the door is always open if Aotearoa ever lures you back. We sure hope it does...

With a wealth of experience in healthcare customer service and clinical sales, Angela brings warmth, knowledge, and genuine care for the people she works with — which is exactly what we're all about. She told us she joined the team because she knew our reputation for helping people in the community, and that means the world to us. 🥰

When she's not looking after our wonderful customers, Angela is a devoted Mum and Nana. She loves getting her hands in the garden, heading out camping, and taking a dip in the ocean.

Today we celebrated the incredible contribution of one of the Hurricanes' biggest fans, Sarah Murray. 🏉 🎽

After more than 7 amazing years, Sarah is closing this chapter as our Business Administrator and moving on to an exciting new opportunity.

While we're sad to see her go, we're immensely thankful for everything she's brought to this team — the hard work, the dedication to our customers, fantastic social events, and a lot of banter. 😉 The office won't quite be the same without her.

Sarah's commitment to Capes Medical Supplies over the years has been truly epic, and we feel so lucky to have had her alongside us for 7 incredible years.

From Auckland Hospital to leading Capes Medical Supplies, Ginene Scott’s career has always been grounded in service.

Raised in West Auckland and a long-time volunteer with Muriwai Beach Surf Life Saving Club, Ginene was drawn to roles where you show up when it matters most. She trained as a nurse and built her career in neurosurgical ICU and PACU, eventually becoming a Charge Nurse in one of the most high-pressure clinical environments.

After balancing shift work with life as a solo mum, she moved into medical sales, spending nearly two decades in surgical consumables and infection prevention before joining our team.

Today, she brings that frontline experience into every decision she makes — championing fair pricing, clinically proven products and dependable supply for healthcare professionals and veterinarians across Aotearoa.

Ginene is also building a formidable team here at Capes. She backs our people, encourages accountability, and supports them to grow into roles they’re proud of. She is tenacious in her pursuit of better outcomes and kind in her leadership.
