HB Jammers We are a charity organisation which provides Music, Dance and adaptive movement for young people with disabilities between the ages of 6-25years old.

We hold weekly workshops for our "jammers" to learn new dances, play instruments and make new friends.

Meet the Team Day Five!
We are finishing off our tutor introductions this week with the incredible Vicky who is the tutor of Rockin' Rhythms!
I'm Vicky and I run the Tuesday night Rockin' Rhythms group. I have always enjoyed learning new dance styles and music, and get to bring this to HB Jammers. I love seeing how much joy and fun the Jammers have each week. My favourite part of HB Jammers is seeing the Jammers perform. Away from Jammers I work as a Senior Estimator in contruction, pricing plumbing and roofing for different construction projects. In my spare time I love to read, do DIY projects, and I am also fortunate to be President of HB Jammers which keeps me from being bored!

Meet the Team Day Three!
Today we are shining a spotlight on our newest tutor Jo who is the amazing tutor of Melody Makers!
Hi I'm Jo. I run the workshop in Hastings, I'm quite new to this but I absolutely love it. After every session my cup is overflowing. I love everything about music, singing, and dancing so enjoy doing this with the group every week. One of my favourite songs to do with the group is Pepeha by Six60. Outside of Jammers I work at Ebbett Park School as an NZSL communicator. NZSL is one of my passions and I would love to incorporate it into our workshops. I am also a hairdresser on the side.

Meet the Team Day Three!
Today we are meeting the Magic Movers' Tutor Clio!
Kia Ora I'm Clio and I am the tutor of Magic Movers on Thursday evenings. I absolutely love being a tutor and brag about how incredible our Jammers are to anyone who will listen! In real life You will usually find me either at work, or crafting! I collect hobbies, with my current obsession being quilting and crochet. I am passionate about disability advocacy and am always looking for ways to make life more accessible for everyone. As a side project I am in the HB Jammers Committee and am in charge of all our social media and publicity, so I am the one making all these posts! My absolute favourite song is Six Months in a Leaky Boat by Split Enz!

Meet the Team Day Two!
Today we are shining a spotlight on the amazing Jazzy Jammers' Tutor: Emma!
Kia Ora! I have been running the Havelock North workshop for the last 5 years and it's my favourite part of the week. I work as a Waste Education Officer for both Napier City and Hastings District Councils, helping communities reduce waste and build more sustainable habits. Outside of work, I'm passionate about musical theatre and am currently choreographing The Sound of Music for Theatre Hawkes Bay. My favourite song is Everlong by Foo Fighters.

Day One: Meet the Dazzling Dancers' Tutor... Fran
Hi, I'm Fran and I'm the tutor for the Dazzling Dancers, we have our sessions on Wednesdays in Greenmeadows. I've been involved with HB Jammers since the earliest days and I love hanging out with our amazing Jammers and sharing their journeys. Outside of HB Jammers, I'm a specialist teacher with a background in Special Education, and a Mum to 3 young adults. If I have time left for me, I love sitting down with a good book and a nice cup of tea. My favourite song is Strong Enough by Cher.
