Fluid Resuscitation and Burns: https://ow.ly/MSCs50VHT9k

🔥 Burns don’t bleed—large burns cause a capillary leak of serous fluid, not blood. You're replacing fluid, not RBCs.

🔥 Burns >20% TBSA trigger a systemic response: vasoconstriction, global fluid shift, and serious risk of hypoxia and organ failure.

🔥 Start two large bore IVs or go IO if needed. But be careful—too much fluid can cause airway compromise and pulmonary edema. Too little? Shock and organ failure.

Balance is everything. Burn care starts with you.

Key takeaways:
👉 Recognize that training is a journey; perfection isn't expected on day one.
👉 Allow trainees to observe and understand different styles before diving in.
👉 Embrace the joy in teaching and the mutual learning it brings.

Let’s be the mentors who build confidence, not fear. After all, today's "Baby Medics" are tomorrow's leaders.
