Joey is a full time mum to 3 beautiful children, who are the catalyst to her embarking on her spiritual meditation journey within.

Hi I'm Joey, a Sound Alchemist based in Koru, Taranaki, specialise in Multi-instrument sound journeys & Shamanic Sound Ceremonies, Frame Drum Circles, Native American Flute Masterclasses, and Sacred Women Red Tent Circles. She offers intuitive energy and sound healing therapy sessions for 1:1 private therapy, private group sound sessions, and public group sound sessions on Full Moon and New Moon circles. She is a certified Himalayan Singing Bowls and Tuning Forks practitioner. She integrates her knowledge from different healing modalities to offer a unique experience in her Shamanic Sound Ceremonies, using multi-instruments for a shamanic soundscape to journey within. She is passionate about all things sound healing, and loves sharing sound healing practices and meditations to help others learn to live more mindfully, in order to cope with the daily life stressors, finding inner peace and purpose. She holds monthly Goddess Frame Drum Circles to empower women and men through rhythm and voice. She also teaches 1:1 classes for Native American Flutes and Frame Drumming. She holds New Moon Red Tent Circles every quarterly.

November feels like growth, alignment, purpose & breaking through. It is almost a year of living in Aotearoa. 5 months since I started offering events here. Learning what the community is like, making friends with like minded souls. It has been a journey of learning & growth. While the Singaporean in me is engrained to do more, pursue more, be productive & efficient. Aotearoa is teaching me to slow down, live with purpose and alignment with the right people, time, and space. November is also a B’earthday month for 3 of us in the house, so energies can be heightened and drained by celebrations and parties. The hermit in me wants peace & solitude, but the kids need their celebrations to mark the day they were born. For me, it’s the days I became Mother over and over.

This month will be the last session of Mums & Seniors Sound Healing, as it does not seem like the community needs it now. Our last Sound Journey to the Ethereal workshop is already full, with the possibility to squeeze in one last mat for anyone who yearns to join. Our Moon Drum Journey continues monthly, and is open to learning requests for new rhythms, chants, or drum compositions. Our Sacred Music Jamming Circle will hopefully be the space to welcome aspiring likeminded souls who yearns to connect through making music even without musical experience. You are so welcome without fears or judgement.

To connect to a deeper psyche of your inner being? To connect with or to release any emotions from your heartstrings?

Now you can learn the Native American Flute in just 2 hours. Join me for an NAF masterclass in our 3rd batch on 19 Oct Sunday, at 11am for a 2hrs workshop to learn all about the NAF and how you can create your own flute songs from your heart and soul. Flutes are provided. You do not need to own a flute for this masterclass. There will be new flutes for purchase should you wish to take home one.

You will learn:
🪈 Basic Pentatonic Scale of the NAF
🪈 Breath control & different techniques
🪈 Song structure for improvisation
🪈 How to choose and buy your first flute
🪈 Basic care & maintenance for your flute
🪈 Create your first soul song with the flute

Joey is a homeschooling mum of 3 years old Luna with 2 older brothers. While she is not teaching, or playing or sending kids to their activities, she is a spiritual healer. She offers intuitive healing therapy sessions combining use of Himalayan/Tibetan Singing Bowls, Essential Oils, Crystals & Reiki based intuitively on what individual needs.
