The local community in Taranaki is incredible. A huge thank you to On The House who have donated approximately $1,350 worth of essential hygiene items to our From Hardship to Hope Kids Health Fund.

The donated items include nappy bags, moisturiser, hand sanitiser, shampoo and soap. These are all items that On The House has received from its generous donors. On The House works with local companies to redistribute surplus food to those who need it most. We are working with On The House to redistribute the non-food items. These items have been passed on to Taranki's Public Health Nurses, who will provide them to young families and school children in the community.

By collaborating with On The House, we are ensuring this region's generosity reaches as many people in need as possible.

Volunteering New Plymouth have always been great supporters of ours, especially for our Hardship to Hope campaign.

Hardship to Hope started as a fund to help support families in Taranaki experiencing financial hardship due to acute medical challenges. Over time it has evolved and now provides the tools needed to keep families safe and ensure tamariki are kept clean and healthy.

A big thank you to Alsco who provide us with sheets that have gone beyond their commercial life but can be repurposed into high quality, breathable sheets for families which is vitally important, especially for newborns and babies to keep safe at night.

Hardship to Hope was started to help families in financial hardship due to acute medical challenges. But in its eight years, it’s evolved.

A huge thank you to Shining Peak Brewing for choosing the Hardship to Hope fund as their charity of choice for December.

With support from businesses like Shining Peak, we can ensure our kids get the best start in life and are kept warm and healthy. And if they do need medical treatment outside of the region, we can help support families in need with the costs associated with that.

December 5% Project - From Hardship to Hope Kids Health Fund ❤️

The Hardship to Hope Fund is available to Taranaki families who may need a bit of extra, temporary, support while their children receive the care they need. The fund is used to supply various items, from petrol vouchers and grocery vouchers to blankets for newborns and toiletries and hygiene packs 👏

Hardship to Hope receives no funding from any government sources and is dedicated to supporting families in Taranaki who find themselves in challenging times due to circumstances outside their control.

Through your efforts this December, Taranaki families will have a little less to worry about during a typically stressful period of time 🍻

We are proud to have helped raise fund for these Pēpi Pods. If you have one and are no longer using it, please return it so that we can help keep more babies safe in their most vulnerable early years.

Now that bubs has grown, if you have a wahakura and/or pēpi-pod that you’re no longer using we’d love for you to return it so we can give it to another new precious pēpe in need.

Dr Doris Gordon from Stratford was a pioneer in the field of obstetrics in a time when unbelievably women doctors let alone specialists where very uncommon! So this grant from her trust of this new breast pump is very welcomed indeed ❤ https://www.stuff.co.nz/taranaki-daily-news/news/124711310/taranaki-mums-to-benefit-from-breast-pump-donation?fbclid=IwAR1kCxqWkUxs_MQVEWcz0QTPnu61nJkj-MkAAtLJQklWLZa93PDEzkXYBo8
