Kei tēnā, kei tēnā, kei tēnā anō tōna ake āhua, tōna ake mauri, tōna ake mana.

We are pleased to be able to collaborate with Te Roopu Waiora to provide a hauora space for the disability community at this year’s Te Matatini festival. Te Mata Waiora marquee will be available for whānau whaikaha/hauā to take a break, refreshments and attend to personal needs before returning to the excitement of supporting your favourite kapa haka teams. We will be located right next to the gate to the Brooklands Zoo.

Experienced kaitiaki will be at Te Mata Waiora to provide information in NZ Sign Language or help you find your way around the event. Audio descriptions for our kāpō community will be available for some performances from Te Mata Waiora which also has wheelchair access. This is a safe space specifically for the disability community, so come and recharge before re-joining the magnificance that is Te Mataini!
Nau mai, whakatau mai rā e te whānau!!
