Nothing is ever black or white, right or wrong.
Discomfort in your body is your body's way of asking for change.
The change may be food, movement, thoughts, beliefs, even a change of pace.
Peri/menopause has a way of bringing up emotional and physical discomfort to the surface. It can offer us more ease on the other side when we deal with it..
I find when people embrace change - and it may be as simple as quitting coffee and chocolate, symptoms can move on quickly.
Those who are set in their ways, resistent to change in any aspect of life will continue to suffer with physical and emotional discomfort.
There is no magic pill, no one size fits all.
