As a life coach, working with CBT and truth, I can help bring awarness to your brain from limiting beliefs and patterns that are preventing you from living a fulfilling life, with joy and happiness. We all have different views, experiences, personalities and have difference priorities. But we all seek one thing, that is connection and freedom. Freedom to move with ease, with our mind, body and spirit. As sensory beings we have the tendency to pick up on things that may not be very helpful for us. We seek external things and believe this will help heal us. In fact what heals us comes from within. And the truth will set you free. We as humans are meant to grow, its what we are designed to do. What are you believing in? Is it helping you? How are your energy levels? Can't put your finger on it and need help? Life is not a destination but a journey. We all experience ups and downs.

Sylvie Hetu was my trainer back in 2000 when I first became an infant instructor in London at Queen Charlotte's Hospital. She has been pioneering infant massage in Canada and became an International Trainer with IAIM in 1989. Sylvie has trained 6000 IAIM instructors in more than 20 countries on the five continents, giving her vast multicultural experiences and many stories to share.

Time to make some room - what is it that you desire? What do you dream about? What is stopping you? What in your home has been feeling low in energy for some time? If you don’t use it, don’t love it, it’s time to get rid of it…

It’s declutter time again, with Autumn just around the corner (2 days away) - who wants to lighten their load before moving into winter without the clutter?

Let’s use the energy from summer we have accumulated to motivate oneself before it gets too cool and there is less sunlight.

Uncertainty - seems to be the flavour of past week - uncertain of the weather patterns, uncertain of a new job offer, or about to loose your job, uncertain of heading back to study, uncertain about sending your kids back to school, the list goes on…this brings up alot of mixed emotions…when it comes to your children, remember you are not your child and your child is not you - yes they are part of you - but they have come into this world with a little bit more knowingness, and they are learning 24/7…They are learning about their enrivonment and learning from their experiences, creating their own beliefs.

So lets get back to this uncertainty, its not familiar so your mind steps up and wants to keep you safe, protect you, its trying to see all the protential risks, what if…..

Let’s look at it another way - what if there is opportunity for growth during these uncertain times…I get to….”No” the brain doesn’t want you to be successfull, it only wants to keep you safe, its nice and comfortable here, I’ll be OK here.

But what if you take one step out of the cave and into the sunshine, what if it feels good, I get to feel good, you experience some excitement within; if its about a new job - I get to learn new things, I get to meet new people, I get to pay my bills, I get to save for my dream, I get to move closer to my dream job;

Now lets think about your job coming to an end - everything has to come to an end, it can’t be forever - as much as one lives in hope - what also comes to an end, is a new beginning; a new job, a new career, a new business that you have been thinking about to create for so long, now you get to give it a go - if we don’t try we will never know…you get to spend more time with the kids, you get to spend more time with your loved ones…

Now lets think about the children going off to school - they get to make new friends, they get to learn new things, they are in a safe space; they get to grow and have the security knowing that at the end of the day they return home sweet home;

As for the weather - mother nature, global warming - its not looking too hot - so thankful that we had emergency teams ready and on call to help. Amen to those that were out there during the torrential rains, helping to re-route roads when roads were washed out, or landslides that came tumbling down - perhaps you could reach out to those that are in need, check in with your neighbour and friends - cook a meal, pick up a shovel. I get to help. I get to cook a meal. I get to pick up a shovel. And then looking at the bigger picture, what could we do to help for the future; - could we carpool; walk or cycle to work; could we help reduce, reuse, recycle - could we become more sustainable - could we create a compost - the list goes on, enjoy the process, get the kids involved…I get to…

We are all creative beings - we can create stories that disempower us and we can create stories that empower us - when uncertainty looms we tend to hold on to the disempowering stories - the negative bias - energy goes down, your afraid to take risks, you might avoid people, you begin to stagnate.

Uncertainty - its scary, its uncomfortable, its there. Acknowledge it, let it flow through your body, get it out, change your state. You get to change your state, remember where you focus your energy flows. Let’s learn from everything that unfolds before us, will it be to lend a hand (I get to lend a hand), will it be to get creative (I get to be creative); I get to…lets start taking massive action. I get to learn something new. I trust in the process.

You can change how you feel in a moment.
You can believe the story in your head, the same story that was there yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that….but for how long, a month, 3 months, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years!!!!!!

I ask you this, is the story you are choosing to believe right now 100% true?
Is the story in your head empowering you?
Is it bringing you closer to your purpose, your dream, to joy, to growth, to abundance, to love?

Do you feel the energy in your body lifiting? Or does it feel stagnant.
If it’s the latter then its a shift you need to make. I know this may feel hard for you, but you have the power within you to make the first move.

I have suffered grately throughout my life, but I have also had wonderful high adventures. It is possible to have both - to suffer AND have peace…

You are stronger than you think,
You are braver than you know,
Your are smarter, wiser, and capable of so much more.
What ever voices you are listening to, right now, if they are not empowering you then you need to tell them to talk to the hand.
If your stuck and needing help, it’s time to reach out.

No matter how things look on the outside, nothing is permanent.
But you can change things from the inside, as this is where it all manifests.

Energy is movement in motion - it’s always changing and there will be seasons, some may last longer than others with strong and intense emotions, but it won’t last forever - that’s why they are called seasons. I remind myself when I look up at the moving clouds.

So what are you doing right now?
What are you focussing on?
How does the energy feel within?
What is it that you are suffering from? Pain? Loss? Anger? Frustration? Resentment? Anxiety? Overwhelm? Shock? Disbelief? Depression? The list goes on.

You have a choice!!!
It’s time to invest in yourself.
See it as it is, not worse than it is.
Start taking action - Change is coming - its automatic - however if you don’t do anything, then nothing is going to happen - You are a creative being - time to tap into that side of you - don’t know how, then lets set up a meet.

It’s time to create more joy in your life, to have abundance in all areas of your life, to love - to tap into your true authentic self…

I will not anger. I will not worry. I will be honest, kind, grateful.

When was the last time you did not worry for an entire day, or not anger for an entire day, or be honest with one self for an entire day, or be kind for one day or be grateful for one day…?

Honestly for me, I can be quick to anger, especially if I feel rushed or pressured, then the kids are fighting because I am not giving them the attention they need because I am working, or studying or deep in a job that hasn’t been done for a week, or when the youngest doesn’t stop talking, and you keep getting interrupted. My youngest didn’t make a noise for the first 6 weeks, seriously, no crying, not one sound. I had to set my alarm to wake him and feed him because he made no sound, so different to my other babies. That first time he cried, I wept with joy and I finally had my first let down - it took six whole weeks. Now he is 17 and making up for lost time. Talking, talking, talking. Asking all the why’s so he can understand his world better. For those that don’t know him he has Down Syndrome. This requires much patience and understanding on my part, every moment of the day. I have to remember it is not about me. Hold better thought patterns. An interruption can be an opportunity to take a breather and learn something new. Put down ones pen and give ones sole attention to another. If the question requires a lot of thinking, then perhaps I will say, lets park that one and I will get back to you. Then I must be curious and ask myself why am I feeling pressured, or why am I feeling rushed, or why does being interrupted always make me hold onto my breath, which leads me to becoming uptight. Once I get curious and ask these questions, I am able to stop for a moment, take that long deserved breather, relax my body, let go of the tightness, make a shift and restart. I have also learnt to apologise if I have raised my voice, or been wrong, and continue to use the words please and thank you. They go along way and help our children to understand that we too are real and have feelings. One needs to remind one self that feelings and emotions are just energy in motion. They don’t stick around, unless you focus on them.

And as for worry, there are bills to pay, children to care for which means of course comes the worry, or concern, because we love them so much and we don’t want to see them get hurt. However children need to make their own mistakes. Its how they learn. If we keep stepping in and fighting their battles how will they ever learn. We need to learn how to release the leash/harness a little and let them make their own steps forward, whilst we gently guide from behind, or be there to pick them up when they fall. Mistakes are not failures. They are attempts at trying something new. And if we fall we simply need to be curious at what happened without judgement and ask ourselves what shift do I need to take for next time, or what can I do better. Become that quiet observer.

So out of the five listed above what do you need to work on? You will know intuitively what it is, try to nurture it for a week. Become that observer. Ask yourself why did I get angry? What happened before, what came up for me, how could I handle the situation better, do I need to make amends, what better thought can I hold for next time. Remember emotions are energy in motion. The rest are skill based that takes practice. When you practice gratitude, the more gratitude you will find. When you practice honesty, the more honest you are with self. You get the picture.

It’s up to you where you place your energy. I know what I will be working on this week, what about you?
