We know the health system underserves Māori in virtually every domain measured. With support from Te Akoranga a Maui; the College’s Māori representative group, we have developed our ‘Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori health equity’ position statement.

This statement highlights our commitment expectations to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through our College operations and across the general practice and rural hospital medicine workforce.

The College will also be developing another position statement focusing more broadly on health equity.
