Welcome to Body Nourished
Hello, it’s nice to see you here! My name is Kelsey Moore, I am the director of Body Nourished and the face behind our page too. I am from Opotiki, New Zealand and is my home again after spending a number of years living and working in the South Island. Opotiki is where our studio is based. I teach most of the Pilates and Yoga classes at Body Nourished, so I’ll start by sharing a bit about my journey in the hopes that some of it resonates with you.
I first found Yoga properly in my early adult life and the opportunity for self-inquiry really hooked me good. I knew very early on that I wanted to work my way in to being able to share Yoga with more people and in communities that I really cared about. Though, I thought originally it might just compliment my work as a Registered Nutritionist. I found Pilates by default when I started teaching Les Mills Body Balance and things really expanded organically for me from this point and I found myself on many different training opportunities.
I am trained in Stott Pilates and I really am so thankful for this, I think that Stott methodology adapts well to new research and different body’s too. My most recent Yoga training which very much expanded my World and the way I teach was 100-hour Yin Yoga teacher training with a trauma-informed lens.
I really do love both practices and think that every body deserves the nourishment of them. I collaborate with other teachers where possible and I think that this helps improve the access to classes for people.
