I support people who are struggling with addiction by walking alongside them — not above them, but with them. I’ve lived it. I spent 31 years trapped in alcohol addiction, carrying trauma, disconnection, and pain I didn’t have the tools to name, let alone face. My journey took me to rock bottom — and then into deep healing, truth, and freedom.
That healing began with what I now call my Hīkoi of Hope — a personal pilgrimage into the wild. I left everything behind and walked deep into the forests, mountains, and rivers of Aotearoa’s South Island. I slept in huts and under the stars. I fasted. I prayed. I broke. I healed. Out there in nature, with no distractions and nothing to numb the pain, I began to reconnect — with my wairua (spirit), my body, my purpose, and with consciousness.
Nature became my medicine — my reset. It helped me regulate my nervous system and rewire my brain. Through movement, stillness, silence, prayer, fasting, nutrition, breathwork, and deep reflection, I broke the trauma loops that had kept me stuck for decades.
Now, I help others do the same.
Through Sober ASF, I offer safe, grounded, and judgment-free spaces where people can open up and start their own journey — no matter how messy it feels. You don’t need to be sober to reach out — just real. I support people personally via phone and video calls, in person when possible, and through two powerful online communities:
👉 Sober ASF NZ
👉 Sober ASF Worldwide
These are spaces of support, connection, and transformation.
What I offer is more than just support — it’s a lived, research-backed framework for healing. I combine neuroscience, trauma recovery, nutrition, somatic tools, spiritual healing, and lived experience to help people rewire the patterns that keep them stuck. I teach people how to regulate their nervous system, reconnect to their identity, and walk forward in strength.
For those who feel called to something deeper, I now offer guided versions of the Hīkoi of Hope — a supported nature-based journey into stillness, surrender, and renewal. We go into the bush. We fast, reflect, pray, breathe, and allow the land to work its healing. This is not a retreat. This is a return — to yourself, your truth, and your strength. And I walk with you.
A powerful part of my own healing has been music. During my Hīkoi, I began writing and recording songs using only my words and my heart. It became a lifeline — helping me process pain, unlock hope, and express what couldn’t be said any other way. That process rewired my emotional and spiritual self — and now I create custom healing songs for others too. Each one is built around your story, pain, and purpose — a way to sing your healing, and carry your truth with you in sound.
This isn’t just about sobriety. It’s about freedom —
About breaking patterns, healing trauma, reclaiming identity, and learning how to live again.
📞 I’m available for support every day from 9:00am to 11:00pm, and for emergencies 24/7 by phone or video call.
If you need someone to walk with you — I’m here. No judgment. Just truth, support, and love — one step at a time.
