Last Friday, Angela Pullar (Sales & Marketing Manager) had the pleasure of visiting the Year 6 students at Anchorage Park School alongside Youth Project NZ. These amazing young people created beautiful handmade flowers and cards for our residents at The Manor.

To thank them for their kindness, I gave each student a treat bag, and presented their teacher and the team from Youth Project NZ with bouquets of flowers 💐

It’s just a small token of our appreciation, but carries an important message that kindness always comes back to you 💕

✨ Celebrating Diwali ✨

Here at Ambridge Rose, we're proud to celebrate the many cultures that shape our great community.

This week, our incredible team at The Manor and The Villa came together to celebrate Diwali, the festival that symbolises the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.

From sharing authentic Indian cuisine to dancing, our staff honoured this celebration with joy and unity. Many of our team members dressed in their beautiful salwar kameez and sarees, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. It's moments like these that remind us of the rich diversity within our community and the importance of celebrating the traditions that make each of us unique.

Wishing everyone in our Hindu community a very Happy Diwali, filled with light, love and prosperity ❤️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible staff across the Ambridge Rose facilities 🫶

Over the past couple of weeks, we have shared pizza together 🍕. This is just a small token of how grateful we are for each and every one of you. Your hard work, compassion and dedication to our residents does not go unnoticed.

You are the heart of what we do. You bring comfort, care, kindness and love to those who need it most. Simply put it, we would not be here without you all.

Thank you to all our amazing staff for everything you do, every single day. We are so fortunate to have you ❤️

On Saturday, we attended the Dempsey Wood Civil Hot Rods event in Howick as one of many sponsors of the event and family of car enthusiasts!

We’re pleased to have contributed to such a great event, with the funds raised going to Multiple Sclerosis Auckland. 🚗

We also caught up with Allan’s good friend 🏎️ Official Greg Murphy, whose 1969 Dodge Charger was proudly on display! 🏁

It was great to see all the restored and well looked-after classic cars. 🏎️

For Father’s Day, staff took our lovely gentlemen from The Beach House to visit the Maritime Museum, with a former sailor in the British Royal Navy among them in attendance. 🚢

The residents enjoyed seeing the beautiful detail and scale of the ship models – one of the model ships even earned an elusive, "she's a beauty!"

Our visit concluded with sausages rolls and a ginger beer at the museum cafe. A lovely day all around!

Across our facilities last Friday, staff and residents supported Daffodil Day with lots of daffodils and wearing yellow. 🏵️💛

Every Daffodil Day we celebrate our loved ones who are fighting cancer, those in remission and those who lost the fight, and show our support for the wonderful Cancer Society New Zealand by raising money for donations to help in their efforts to find a cure.

In loving memory of Linda - Ambridge Rose co-owner, cherished wife, mum, and nanny.
---
A tribute to the greatest mum to our 3 children and coolest ever Nanny to our 4 grandchildren.

Sadly, on the 5th August 2025, after arriving in New York starting a family 3 week holiday in the USA, my darling wife Linda went to bed, closed her eyes and didn’t wake up.

She was the absolute love of my life, soulmate, best friend, and partner in crime for 42 years. My heart is broken beyond belief.

The legacy and love she left behind is irreplaceable and her unconditional love for family will forever remain etched in our hearts. For her whole life she always put everyone first before herself and never complained once.

A truly remarkable lady with love and hugs for everyone she met.

She always out fished us all, hated having her photo taken but loved shopping. She never sought the limelight but always remained behind the scenes doing her thing. I would not be where I am today without what she had done for me.

I will miss you more than ever or words can say sweetheart, sleep peacefully now my darling, till we meet again.❤️
