Come and have a fun night out and support SYLO Manawatu!

SYLO Manawatu is a singing group for people with COPD and other chronic respiratory conditions. We would really appreciate your support for this fundraiser event. Christine Archer-Lockwood, Music Therapist, set up the programme in 2017, and it is going strong with over 20 people attending every week. With Christine at the keyboard and the voluntary support of respiratory physiotherapist Sarah and bassist Berndt, group singing creates a feel-good factor and social connections, while developing healthier breathing patterns.

However, we need funds to keep it going. Voluntary donations come in for the weekly sessions but do not cover the outgoings. Hence now the fundraising drive. We would love to see you on 1st May at Libre. Do book a table and come along with friends.

Peter Robinson's Memorial Service

Dear SYLO Singers,

With sadness I heard of Peter’s passing this week and feel very far away from you all at this time.

There will be a memorial service for Peter on Friday 28 July at 2pm in the All Saints Community Centre. Unfortunately I will still be overseas. I have been advised that there will be a light afternoon tea that people can contribute to if they wish to.

I may not reach all SYLO members with this email and my mobile is not working while I’m away, so please use the SYLO network to pass on the sad news, yet feel blessed we have had Peter among us with his cheeky wit and uplifting spirit.

We will honour Peter with a hearty SYLO sing on Thursday 10 August.
