This September we gather at Aho Pewa, a space woven for release, reconnection, and remembering balance.

You’ll be held in safe hands by three great practitioners, offering their gifts of romiromi and mirimiri.

• 60 min session - mirimiri
• For those wanting longer 90–120 min sessions - massage and mirimiri with Ola Vā are available on request. Please contact Jenni directly to arrange - we’ll make space for you on the day.

The Centre for Arts and Social Transformation is thrilled to announce the release of Research Assistant Katy Perez's 𝑻𝒂̄𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂 ‘𝒎𝒂𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒉𝒆 report about her arts residency with Seleka International Art Society Initiative - SIASI and Taro Patch Creative. This residency marked the starting point of Katy’s bold vision - creating Tonga’s first purpose-built arts and community centre in partnership with the Selekā International Art Society Initiative.

The project's ultimate goal is to create a self-sustaining hub for Culture, Creativity, and Community, supporting climate refugees and the wider Tongan community in the wake of the 2022 volcanic eruption and tsunami.

PEOPLE OF PAPATOETOE – Dain Guttenbeil

Dain Guttenbeil is the co-founder of , a memorial business built on culture, faith, and service, right here in Old Papatoetoe.

Of Māori (Ngā Puhi), Samoan (Nofoali’i), Tongan (Vava’u) and German descent, Dain has created more than just a business. He’s built a foundation that honours grief, supports whānau, and gives back to churches and marae. Sustainability, moving ahead of the times and creating an eco-system drive Dain and his crew.

Whether it’s advocating for better pastoral care, hiring based on shared values, or pushing council to repaint tired buildings, Dain’s kaupapa is grounded in doing what’s right, even when it goes against the grain.

In his words: “Do what’s right, not what’s the norm.”
