We have welcomed a number of new therapists to Mana Therapy Hub this year, including Ansie Nortje of Elevate Minds.
Ansie (ansiefj.nortje@gmail.com) is registered with the NZ Psychologists Board; a member of the NZ Psychological Society; and an ACC Registered Provider (15 GHTL). She has a contract with PSCS (Psychological & Sensitive Claims Service) to provide ACC sensitive claims work, and she currently has limited spaces for new ACC clients.
Ansie is committed to an inclusive society in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Disabled Persons and the New Zealand Disability Strategy. She initially qualified as a secondary school teacher and career guidance counsellor, prior to completing further studies, her internship and registration as psychologist. She has worked in a variety of settings in South Africa and New Zealand, and is fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
Ansie is experienced in supporting people through grief and loss; traumatic experiences; life changes; stress and adjustment; self-esteem issues and anxiety. She is non-judgemental and her therapeutic approach is strengths-based, positive and empathetic. To assist clients achieving their goals, she works collaboratively with them creating a safe space and a supportive therapeutic relationship.
She utilises a range of therapy approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Client-Centred Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
