Dear sisters of the Red Tent,

I'm reaching out to you from the trenches of my pre-menstrual being! I don't have much creativity to write in this sluggish state but I do have some extremely exciting news to share with you all...

Our local treasure, Annemieke Harmonie, will be guiding us through a LIVE HARP meditation circle on Sunday June 7th 2026.

Annemieke is a very special woman that I have met on the journey through maidenhood to motherhood. She is loving, strong and has a deeply healing presence - I feel very honoured that she has agreed to collaborate and share her gifts in the Red Tent.

Here are some words about Annemieke...

Annemieke Harmonie has been playing the harp since she was a child. In her twenties, after graduating as a primary school teacher, she left the Netherlands with her harp and a backpack. Many adventures followed, as she went through intense personal growth and expansion, experiencing music and customs in many different cultures. Her harp became her emotional outlet, her constant travel companion and ticket to celebrations and festivals. From busking to performing at weddings and functions, to playing at Palacio's in Portugal, the harp became a lifestyle and her gift to the world. Annemieke works with the healing and balancing power of frequency. She uses her voice to tone the angelic frequencies in harmony with her harp. She tunes her harp to 432 herz to facilitate deep calm, alignment with nature and transformation. She has a love of passing on her knowledge, and runs Harmonie Harp School in Tasman/ Nelson with online students further afield.

I hope you are all well and having moments in your day to pause, breathe and feel the sun/ rain/ wind on your skin mmmmm...

I'm reaching out to let you know about our upcoming Red Tent in April ♥️🌿

I have been extremely fortunate to meet an AMAZING wahine, Estefania Santamaria. She has recently become a Red Tent facilitator and is keen to come and share her gifts with us at the next Motueka Red Tent.

Theme: Discovering your authentic voice
Estefania will guide us through a practice called carnatic chanting to explore the sound of your own voice. The intention is not aesthetic performance, but to experience the therapeutic effects of sound and vibration within your body. Rather than “singing nicely”, the focus is on discovering your true voice and creating sound from an authentic place.

About the practice ....
Carnatic Chanting is a rhythmic vocal practice from the South of India that consists of repeating melodic patterns. It was brought to the West in the 60’s by the French obstetrician Frédérick Leboyer, pioneer of humanized birth. In his travels, he observed how women used chanting before, during and after birth as a natural analgesic and to increase connection with their body and the baby. This practice is now widely used in a variety of therapeutic settings. Benefits include: improved breath control, stress reduction, pain relief, and experiencing states of expanded consciousness.

Just come as you are, no singing experience is needed — if you can talk, you can sing!

Hello to my lovely Red Tent community,

I hope you're all well and landing softly into the new year 🩷

I've been on quite an adventure this past couple of months- moving house, changing jobs, hosting a retreat and now joyfully looking ahead to the Red Tent Motueka in 2026.

I want to be transparent, and let you know that I struggle with social media. It doesn't come naturally to me and I often find myself procrastinating over the smallest things - like writing this post! I don't know why it's such a barrier for me, because I actually LOVE connecting with people. So here I am, committing to show up and try and get out of my comfort zone to connect with you all.

I'm super keen to open up the Red Tent for more collaborative over the next few months and I'm curious if you would like to become more involved?

We explore a THEME of the month within each circle. Recent themes in our tent have been -
Life cycles of a woman, ask for what you need, core values and deep relaxation (incl. craft). Each circle is so different and has such a lot of offer. It's bowled me over how much wisdom can be shared in just a few hours together! So much belonging, and remembering.

So I'd love to know....

Dearest friends,

I warmly welcome you into the Red Tent ❤️

Since my early 20's, I have been inspired by, and devoted to sharing held, safe spaces with women. My first experience was in the UK on a women's retreat. I turned up as a total novice never having been in this kind of environment before, yet, I felt so welcomed by the space holders and fellow participants. It was full-on basic bush, and completely out of my cosy urban comfort zone. I'd never camped solo, used an outdoor loo, or eaten so many legumes in my entire life! I didn't even know a single woman there, but I had a life changing experience. I felt like I had come home. I felt seen. I was loved and accepted for being me.

I have been shattered, smoothed and strengthened by this life. I am a daughter, a sister, a mother, a partner, a registered nurse, a loyal friend, and a staunch advocate of women. Hosting a women's sharing circle is something I have been feeling the call to create for many years. I know how much I have benefitted from being able to sit in these spaces, and how much I have craved them when I haven't been able to access them.

So here I stand, on my edge, experiencing deep vulnerability, boundless joy, intense fear, and everything else in between. I'm embracing all my parts and inviting them to come with me on this journey. I am whole heartedly wanting to show up, all of me, for all of you. I am so excited to meet each of you in your full expression!

Dearest women of Motueka,

Your Red Tent has arrived!

It is with great pleasure and a full heart that I warmly welcome you into the Red Tent.

My name is Ronnie, and I will be starting to host a monthly women's sharing circle here in Motueka. This has been a dream of mine for many years. I deeply value the opportunity for women to come together, to share, learn, laugh and be met in our fullest expression.

Since graduating from Red Tent Aotearoa facilitator training in March, I have been visualising, and preparing to host a space for a budding community to come forth!

What is the red tent I hear you say?

The red tent is a warm, friendly, co-created space where the experiences, stories and gifts of every women are valued.
It's a space for slowing down and reconnecting with yourself, your community and the wisdom we share as women.

The beauty of the red- tent is that you can show up just as you are on the day and in that moment. You can choose to share as much as you feel comfortable to, and if you just need a relaxing space to pause and breathe, the tent is here for you!
