12 month prescriptions and what you need to know:👨‍⚕️

From 1st February 2026 prescribers are able to prescribe medicines for longer than 3 months where appropriate. This means fewer repeat appointments with medical centers for people with stable, ongoing conditions—saving time and money.

PLEASE NOTE:
⚠️ Nothing is changing with dispensing — patients will still collect their medicines from pharmacies in a MAXIMUM 3-month lots.💊

It's important to remember that even if you get a 12-month prescription, this doesn't mean you won't need to see your healthcare provider. Having regular check-ups are still important to make sure your treatment is safe and working well.
