My proper sample for the Ladies Lunch Dates Hoodie is coming along nicely. I’m down to the pocket on the body so I’ve switched to the hood.
So loving these colours on Paul’s Stitch’s Brew yarn.

Ladies Lunch Dates Hoodie in the works.
Designed with casual strolls to the corner shops, wandering around the park or walking the dog, or, you know, a lunch date with your people in mind. 😎
Relaxed hood. ✔️
Roomy kangaroo pocket. ✔️
Cuffs that can be worn multiple ways. ✔️
Long enough to keep your kidneys and your bum warm. ✔️
So good!

She’ll be ready for test knitting very soon.
Yarn for this sample is a commercial yarn from stash. Check back soon for a version in Stitch’s Brew.

Last Xmas club reveal. These are from the Mini Treats option. 12 x 20g mini skeins in either Silky Humps (50/50 baby camel/silk) or Stitch’s Brew (merino, nylon, bronze stellina).
I had a LOT of fun coming up with the colours for these and thoroughly enjoyed the moment I was packing them and had both bases side by side like this where it really shows the difference fibre makes to the final colour.
Each colour is the same dye batch across both bases and some are very close, while others are notably different.
I find myself wondering (yet again) why I didn’t dye up a set for myself. 😂 FOMO is real. 😋

I realized on the weekend that we never revealed the 2024 Deluxe Treats colourways.
So here they are. 5 stunning 100g skeins of Silky Humps 4ply in colours inspired by summer in Aotearoa New Zealand.

* Hokey Pokey
* Black Sand Beaches
* South Pacific
* My Favourite Jandals
* Pōhutakawa

I love everything about this combination except the fact I didn’t dye an extra set for myself. 😭
I think these would make an excellent striped project or, if stripes aren’t your thing some colour blocking, colourwork or as 5 gorgeous 1 skein projects.
What would you make with them?

I’m aware things have been pretty quiet on our social media so far this year… We’re still here, still creating, still being heavily influenced by our surroundings.
Everywhere I look in my wee home office is colourful and I LOVE IT!
I walk in of a morning and see art, plants, yarn, swatches, knit samples and the tools I use to make my clothes and designs and it fills me with joy.
It’s a delight and an honour to be in this space and I feel incredibly privileged that I get to work from here each day.
Can you tell what colours I have on the brain right now? 😂 🩷❤️💜💙💚

I’m slowly emerging from my Covid funk with a fun, casual/sporty vibe design on my needles. It started as me simply knitting a Ladies launch Dates Sweater just for me (rather than being a sample), but the yarn and my needles had other ideas and it’s now a new design prototype.
This version is still just for me and I’m thoroughly enjoying the process and seeing each design detail emerge.
My current favourite part is the sleeve cuffs, but I can’t decide if I prefer them folded double, or when they’re folded out to be more of a built in fingerless mitt style. 🥰
I’m curious to know which you prefer (if either). So let me know in the comments. 😊
My constant knitting companion, regardless of the temperature is of course, Lilith. 😸

Getting Covid wasn’t exactly in our end of year plans, but life rarely goes to plan and here we are.
We’re isolating and are OK. We’ve taken advantage of online grocery and pharmacy ordering with home delivery (left at the door so no face to face contact).
I’m finding that silver lining by taking advantage of the hours I feel well enough to do some nice simple knitting. Although, while taking this photo I’ve realized I worked the last 6 and a half rounds in the wrong colour. 😂
We’ll resume responding to messages and sending orders when we’re well enough to do so.

My favourite thing about this year has been how much I’ve gotten to stretch my creativity and learn a whole bunch of be things.
I plan to finish the year in the same manner and am in need of a travel project. I do have a sock on the needles, but it’s black, and that my friends, is just not happening.
So… I got my pencil and paper out and have drafted something new and fun and have now cast on my first ever toe up sock. I’m excited to see if I end up preferring this to cuff down.
Yarn is some gorgeous sock yarn from that I won from as part of this years it’s gorgeous and the colour couldn’t be more perfect for me. 🥰

A new and improved version of our ever popular Whetū pattern is here!
Whetū was my first ever release (though it was technically my second design) and we felt it was time for a facelift. I’ve added 2 new views (no beads and ALL the beads) as well as info for making a short and long version (long version with ALL the beads pictured).
If you have already purchased a digital copy either on our website or Ravelry then you should have already received an updated copy.
In celebration of both the updated Whetū and Christmas being just around the corner we’ve put together some gift packs, you’ll find these under Yarn Clubs on our website. Pictured is a sample of available options. The lace gift packs are more than enough for a couple of Whetū cowls but if lace isn’t your thing, there’s also a few 4ply gift packs.

Now, when I say that it was windy the day we photographed our Whetū cowl you’ll just have to trust me that it was WINDY. 😂
It was challenging, but it made for some very fun photos too.
