This Christmas Eve, give yourself and your loved ones the gift of true presence. Before Santa checks his list, check out these 11 digital detox tips to disconnect, and reconnect with what matter most.
1️⃣Create a "Phone Bedtime" - Set a specific time when all devices are put away
2️⃣Designate a Device "Manager' - Place a basket or box by the door where everyone deposits their phones upon arrival
3️⃣Go Analog with Activities - Break out board games, puzzles, coloring books, or story books
4️⃣Camera-Free Moments - Commit to experiencing some moments without documenting them. ✨Live in the moment✨
5️⃣Silence Notifications - Turn off ALL non-essential alerts. It can wait.
6️⃣Charge in Another Room - Leave devices charging in another room, far from bedrooms and living spaces
7️⃣"Do Not Disturb" (with exceptions) - Allow only close family and friends to reach you this close to Christmas
8️⃣Read Physical Books - Swap e-readers for actual books.
9️⃣Candle-Lit Conversations - Dim the electric lights, and light candles. Talk face-to-face without backlit screens
