Some bikes become part of the family and Ken & Deb’s Africa Twin story is exactly that.
After loving their 2017 Honda Africa Twin for years of sealed road adventures, gravel rides, and two up touring, it was finally time for Deb to get a bike of her own.
After plenty of research and a few practice rides on the 2017 Africa Twin, Deb decided the new 2025 Honda CRF1100 Africa Twin DCT ES was the perfect fit and may well have been the last one available in New Zealand.
Deb has already completed her first big ride with the Thames/Waihi Ulysses Club, clocking up 350km on Mother’s Day with lunch in Tamahere along the way.
The only question now is… when you’re a passionate horse rider too, how do you decide which horsepower to enjoy for the day?
