Unexpectedly but peacefully on Saturday 1st November 2025, aged 46 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Brian. A good friend to Catherine and Patrick. Beloved daughter of Pauline, and the late W***y Barnett. Beloved daughter in law of Margaret, and the late Kevin Coogan. Loved Sister and sister in law of Julie and Paul, Sarah, Trudy and Tos, Andrew, Mike and Tanya, and Gerard and Natasha. Beloved aunt of all her nieces and nephews and a great friend to many. A celebration of Anna’s life will be held in St Mary’s Catholic Church, Huia Street Taihape on Friday 7th November 2025 at 1pm, followed by interment in the Taihape Cemetery. Beloved son of Bett and Talbot, died peacefully in Palmerston North Hospital on 31st August 2025. Dearly loved brother of Tracey, ‘Chelle (dec), and Ainsley (dec). Passed away peacefully on 21st August 2025. Aged 89 years. He will be greatly missed by his dearly loved wife Frances. Loved father to Jenny, and John and Tina, Poppa to Kendra, Luke, Boyd, Wade, and Georgia. Great grandad to his five great grand children. The family would like to thank the caring Ranfurly Manor staff for the kindness and respect they showed Colin while he was in their care. Pouri atu te ngakau o te whanau i te mate a Lesley Waimarama Chapman (nee Mako) 13 July1969 - 04 June 2025, aged 55. She passed peacefully following a courageous battle. Loved and adored Mum of James, Aaron and Lily, and Jenna. Daughter of Mary and Wally Mako. Other Mum to Chad and Case. Sister and sister in law to Cyril and Michelle, Maria and the late Michael, Denise and Russ Downs, Brent and Tarns, Jen and Wi Whale. A daughter, an aunty, a great aunty, a niece, a cousin, and a friend of many. A quiet soul, who never complained.
Lesley is lying at Opaea Marae, Taihape. A service will be held at 11 am on Saturday 7 June 2025, followed by a burial at the Opaea Marae Urupa.
