On behalf of the Founder & CEO - Sebastiano Siale Falanise Simonetti - and the staff of Ofa Tui Moe 'Amanaki Foundation Incorporated - we wish to offer our heartfelt condolences to the Co-Founder & Deputy CEO - Hepisipa Moeaki, on the loss of her dear beloved sister - the late Tangesi Ma'ume'afo'ou Pea Ki Moeakiola.

Words cannot express how much our hearts break for you in this difficult time. Take comfort in knowing, that even though she has passed away, her spirit still lives on in the memories you have shared together and all the beautiful moments you experienced together in this lifetime.

Colossians 2:5 NIV

5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.

Hepisipa - May the Spirit of God fill your hearts - you and your family, with his divine peace, so that you may be comforted in this great time of mourning. May comfort come from putting your hopes firmly in the Lord Jesus Christ and his promise, that you will see each other on that glorious morning!

Rest well in God's divine peace and love Tangesi. When you gain your wings, make sure you dance for us in the clouds. You will be missed but never forgotten.

With all our love and prayers,

Management & Staff

At the home's entrance: O God, protect our going and coming. Let us share the hospitality of this home with all who visit us. In the living room: O God, give your blessings to all who share this room that we may be knit together in companionship. In the kitchen: O God, you fill the hungry with good things.

Saturday, November 11th, 2003 marked the soft opening of Ofa Tui Moe 'Amanaki Foundation Incorporated - NINA HOUSE - a home-based respite facility for mental health. According to the Founder & CEO "NINA was my mother, and I am sure, she is proud of this accomplishment too"

Blessed and dedicated by Reverend Father - Nathaniel Brazil - of the St Mary's Parish of Papakura and attended by colleagues, friends, and parishioners - the event was a huge success.

Highlighting the event was the speech shared by the Regional Director for the Northern Region for Pacific Health of Te Whatu Ora - Mrs. Harriet Pauga. She highlighted the huge need for such services especially within our Pasifika communities and the fact there's too much need - service providers need to work together instead of competing against each other.

She congratulated the Founder & CEO - Sebastiano Siale Falanise Simonetti and Co-Founder & Deputy CEO - Hepisipa Moeaki on a job well done.

NINA HOUSE opened its doors for business starting today Monday 13th November, 2023 and we look forward to helping not only our Pasifika people but anyone within our zone that needs proper care and support.

As the CEO mentioned in his welcoming address - "It was a struggle. It will continue to be a struggle, but we are happy, we are finally here. We hope that the work we do will help our people to understand Mental Health more, and encourage them to seek help when they need it. Mental Health is real, and it’s an everyday battle, but having the right support, and knowing where to seek the right help, is key, to being able to cope, and live with it."

Thanking all that availed their time to join on Saturday, we are truly humbled and grateful to you all for your support and patronage. It means the world to us. From our colleagues, to our neighbours, friends, THS EXCELLENCE and our fellow parishioners family, you are all appreciated.

May we all continue to work together and support each other as we navigate our ways forward in this space.

'Ofa lahi atu.

The Founder | Chairman & CEO - Mr. Sebastiano Simonetti, Co-Founder | Deputy Chair & Treasurer - Ms. Hepisipa Moeaki, and the Secretary General | Head of Public Relations & Coordinator - Ms. Masina Valu, met with the Regional Director | Northern Region - Pacific Health, Ms. Harriet Pauga via zoom today as we navigate the mental health space.

An extremely productive meeting, and we are looking forward to working with some of the brilliant minds in the industry to provide a safe platform for our Tongans living with mental illness here in New Zealand, particularly within the Counties Manukau region, by providing information and resources to help our own people cope with the many challenges families and loved ones face while living with mental health issues.

Thank You Lord!

Founded by Mr. Sebastiano Siale Falanise Simonetti aka Siale Sepastiano Simoneti of Neiafu Vava'u - the Ofa Tui Moe Amanaki Foundation Incorporated Vision is to:

"Provide a positive and safe resource centre and respite care environment for Tongans living with Mental Health related issues and their families here in Auckland, by providing professional health and social service support that culturally contextualizes mental health and makes it relevant and relatable"

The Mission is to:

Accept – our client’s right to compassionate care; Respect – each client’s unique path towards their own healing; Empower our clients to have a voice and participate in their own care, and educate them and their families using our Tongan Core Values, and our own Tongan Language to connect with them and reach meaningful outcomes.

Our Core Values:

OTMAF Inc. is adopting the Tongan Core Values. The Tongan Core Values consist of four great pillars erected on a foundation with a roof binding them together. The foundation of the Tongan Core Values is Family. Upon this foundation are the four great pillars that construct the structure from which all other values derive. These four pillars (values) are Fefaka’apa’apa’aki (mutual respect), Feveitokai’aki (sharing, cooperating, and fulfillment of mutual obligations), Lototoo (humility and generosity), and Tauhi vaha’a (loyalty and commitment). The roof that binds these together is Love.

Incorporating these guiding cultural values into our values as an organization is paramount as we try to contextualize the mainstream Mental Health approach so that Tongans and our people can find relevance in them and relate to them.

True to our name, our core values are;

• ‘OFA (Love)
• TUI (Faith)
• ‘AMANAKI LELEI (Hope)

Everything we do, and every service we provide will reflect these values. We believe that LOVE conquers all. To experience Love means restoration of FAITH, which ultimately leads to renewed HOPE for a better future and to be able to truly live.
