Meet Melody Mortiaux

Viewing the body as a finely tuned machine with interconnected systems, I choose to take a very holistic approach when it comes to healing. I believe it's important to treat chronic ailments, by looking at the relationship between these different body systems and identifying how underlying factors contribute to the body’s overall pathology.

As a naturopath and medical herb

alist, I also choose to use practitioner only products of the highest quality, ones that have been assessed and tested for the best results in the human body. What we put into our body has a huge impact on the way we feel. Food quality and quantity is important, as is remembering and reconnecting with the preparation and meaning behind our food. A steaming pot of ginger tea is good for nausea or circulation, the adding of garlic and basil into a home cooked pasta dish, not only warms the soul, but provides the body with immune boosting goodness (a natural antibiotic, and antioxidants).

With a background and certificate in sports management and exercise prescription from NZIS, and a qualification as a registered yoga teacher, my treatment plans always include an element of activity/exercise, as well as nutritional advice, lifestyle adjustments and herbal medicine.

With the simple and guided balancing of food, exercise, naturopathic and herbal medicine, health and wellness is not only an investment in ourselves, but also a choice to live our best lives.
