We at Te whare oranga with the help of The port project, Steve and Carolyn Edwards, my girls Hailey Leanne, Tatum Vaughan Rodger, Justin Piho and whaanau and all the tamariki that have helped as well as the cuzzy James Gray have planted some veges over the winter and now they are ready 😍

Come and help yourselves if you need lettuce, parsley, or brocolli at 19 Stack rd.

Something we wanted to do to give back to our community 🥰

Tip: If you just pick the leaves off the lettuce, instead of the whole thing it will continue to grow again 😉

We had a great day yesterday thanks to all the tamariki that came was so awesome to watch and support our whaanau that performed at the tainui kapahaka regionals yesterday awesome performances from both our te puaha roopu!!!! Good luck to all the teams competing today

Great 1st day and awesome turnout today tamariki maa 🥰🥰🥰

we shall see you again tomorrow same place but if its raining 19 stack Rd.

Let's start at 10am - 1pm tomorrow so you all can have a sleep in, to all the other kids that missed out see you tomorrow 😉🥰 😉 maa te waa 😁😁😁

P.s any baking or snacks for the kiddies would be great for our tamariki if any community members would like to donate we would appreciate it!!!! Thank you all ###

Nāku te rourou nāu te rourou ka ora ai te iwi - With your basket and my basket, we will sustain everyone.

There are some free vegetables available at the paataka kai on maunsell rd (triangle), Port Waikato. These include bundles of Bok Choy (huawhenua nō Āhia), parsley (pāhiri), beetroot leaves (rengakura) which are great for salads, and bags of zucchini (roroa).

You are welcome to help yourself by taking what you need, but please make sure to leave some for others as well.

We are excited to share our pickled beetroot and its recipe with the community once it is ready 😊
