Big changes to autism & ADHD funding

It’s no longer enough to have just one report (from a psychologist, paediatrician, or other specialist). The Ministry now requires a multi-agency diagnosis process.

👉 What this means for you:
• Your specialist’s letter (like from me) is still important
• Your GP needs to see it and send a referral to a Developmental Coordinator
• The Coordinator pulls everything together across agencies before funding is approved

Been a while since I shared one, so here is a review received this past week.

“Pippa has been a great support to our family in trying to advocate for our child at his school. Her expertise and diplomacy has meant that the school now has a much clearer understanding of his learning style and needs, and that we have some commitments around accommodations and moderations for him in the classroom. Pippa has helped us understand the education system and our son’s rights within it, while being clear and honest about what we can realistically expect from the school environment.
