It has been a week since my boys bandages came off. His legs are healing really well, I will get some updated photos of his legs in the weekend.
Last Saturday he went back into the heard and back in with his bestie Monty. As you can see from these photos they love to hang out together all the time.

💥 Her back legs were covered in diarrhoea—before we even made it to the arena.

Every time we travelled, my mare’s anxiety would explode. She was stunning, talented -and incredibly sensitive.

It wasn’t just the float. It was the build-up. The change in energy. The anticipation. It overwhelmed her, and her gut took the hit.

If I knew then what I know now as an Animal Homeopath, I would have reached for Argentum Nitricum.

💫 This remedy is for animals who:
– Get stress diarrhoea before events
– Have anticipatory anxiety
– Panic during travel or separation

🧳 Add Argentum Nitricum to your float kit now - before the stress hits. Your future self (and your horse’s hind legs) will thank you.

We are now getting some proud flesh. This is the puncture wound injury and can be common with any wound that has gone right through to the bone to develop over granulation of skin.
There are some good remedies to look at for proud flesh the one I like to use is nitric acid. Given for a few days to inhibit the proud flesh from growing and shrink it back down.

Is anyone else struggling with all this rain like I am I just want to cry now I'm so over it.
However his wounds are coming along so nicely. With the help of homeopathy and of course vet treatment as these were very serious and nasty. His infection was so great that he got a temperature and had breathing issues because of it.
We are still.bandaging and he is still on antibiotics for another week just to make sure we have completely got the infection..
Homeopathy works so well.along side allopathic treatment that it should never be ruled out and instead considered as it can reduce healing time and allow them to be back in work much sooner.

How his wounds are going. First two was Thursday morning and last two are this morning. Still a bit more pus than I would like and he didn't like me touching them today or putting a new wound pad on them before re bandaging 😞.
We are getting pressure sores on both legs 😭 from having to be bandaged.

I am so over winter ❄️ mud and rain 🌧️, can someone please bring back summer 🌞 and dry grounds.

The powerful wonders of homeopathy. I've needed to change remedies few times over the last week. We are currently using one two e a day to help push out the pus and I infection after it started to look gunky and smell a bit on Monday.
I changed his bandages yesterday morning and the smell was gone still some pus as you can see, however the swelling that was underneath the leg graze has gone down a bit and doesn't seem so painful for him when touched.

Vet came out for the third day today to give him his last intravenous antibiotic and penicillin injections. We also changed his bandages, they are looking ok she said still some swelling and infection on the leg injury.
However she was happy with the progress so as of tomorrow morning he is allowed to start the antibiotic powder twice a day as well as still having bute.
I got these mud boots after I saw a friend using them on her horses bandaged leg. She said they keep the bandages clean and dry so fingers crossed 🤞 as we have more rain coming later in the week 😞. I'll let you know how they go.
He also had a daily dose of Pyrogen 1m to help aid the recovery of the infection out of his body yesterday and today along side Ledum 30c twice a day for the puncture wound.
May need to look at Hepar Sulph in low potency for the leg wound as it's quite yellow pus and gunk coming out now that we are on top of the fever and the infection seems to be under control.

Well today took a turn I wasn't expecting 😞. My poor boy was doing well but today had gone down hill fast. He had a temperature and his breathing was off. I knew something wasn't right so I ended up having to call the vet out.
She came assessed him. Confirmed he had a temperature and was fighting an infection, we had to sedated him so she could shave his legs to get a good look at the wounds as he was that sore. She said the cut will be ok but needs to stay bandaged for awhile to keep clean and infection out. The other one which looks not that bad is actually the worse one as it's the puncture wound and has gone through to the pastern joint which is really bad and why he has a temperature.
Fingers crossed 🤞 that the two strong antibiotics he is on will get on top of the infection and stop it. As infections in a joint are hard to treat and can cause damage to the joint itself long term.
I'll be giving him a remedy for infection, which along side the allopathic treatment will give him the best chance.
Please pray for my boy 🙏 and a good recovery outcome.

Not the start to my day I had planned 😞.
Was hoping for a lovely schooling session this morning before all the horrible rain is back tonight. That was until I found my boy very lame in the paddock and injuries to both back legs which are swollen as well poor man.
Brought him up gave them a good clean up as there was blood all down his legs as painful as that was for him it needed to be done.
I immediately pulled out my homeopathy kits that I keep up there and gave him high dose Arnica for the bruising and trauma as well as Calendula/Hypericum combo to aid in the healing process.
They now have honey on them and the foot injury is bandaged to keep it clean as it has a small puncture wound as well as the cuts.

Hi everyone, so sorry it's been a while since I last posted.
How is everyone coping with all this rain lately.
Personally I'm way over it and would prefer colder weather but nice days.

All this rain is starting to cause issues like rain scald and mud fever. I would like to make a shout out to EquineCare Probiotic for their amazing probiotic spray which is a fantastic product to use topically for these issues to help clear them up within a few days. I have also then used equine super goo cream on the mud fever to help soothe plus give a barrier to the area to protect from all the mud and water. I I have also been giving my mud fever remedy combination orally daily as support for the body to bring it back into harmony. I strongly feel that giving Homeopathy along side treating the affected areas is what has worked to clear up and then keep these conditions at bay.
I understand that diet can also play a big part sometimes, however not always and this is when homeopathy comes into its own as it's a case by case basis's and remedies are selected for each individual case based on the symptoms and conditions of each individual horse.

Stay safe everyone, take care of yourselves. I hope all your ponies are warm and happy 😊.

Picture through my boys ears on Sunday afternoon going for a hack out over the amazing farm I graze on. 🐴
