⏰ REMINDER! Our 10th Anniversary Celebration dinner is TOMORROW evening, Sunday 15th December at 4:30pm. ALL WELCOME! 💜 Dinner is provided including some yummy hangi thanks to Moana Hangi. There'll also be dairy and gluten-free options as well as vegan. 🥳
Come along for a nice social event - bring your whanau, kids, spouses, friends, midwives! Well also have some spot prizes as well as a free raffle with some awesome goodies!
The location is the same as our usual meetings - Auckland Women's Centre, 4 Warnock St, Grey Lynn. See you there! 😍

WOOHOO! 🎉 AHBA is celebrating our 10th anniversary today! 🥳🎂
An absolutely MASSIVE thank you to all the people who have worked to help and contributed to AHBA over the years! Without you our organisation wouldn't exist and wouldn't have made it a whole decade.
We also reflect back on some amazing wāhine on which our organisation rests - all those amazing wāhine toa who fought for home birth and midwives from the beginnings of the original AHBA as it was in 1970s to Save the Midwives and the formation of NZCOM in the 1980s to the Nurses Amendment Act in 1990 to the previous Auckland Homebirth Support Group to the Dear David equity campaign in 2018 (still an ongoing problem!) to more recently Te Ara ō Hine as well as the often tireless and invisible mahi in between! 💜

To celebrate getting to 10 years we're having an extra special monthly meeting as well as a second evening event for those who can't make it to a day time one. Both are at Auckland Women's Centre.
We'll have a yummy shared lunch/dinner, balloons, music, freebies, giveaways and prizes! 🎁 Everyone, whānau, friends, partners, spouses, midwives, birth workers, children, EVERYONE welcome! :)

Important birth pool hire update: our birth pool coordinator has had a family emergency and is delayed in replying to emails, organising birth pool pickups and doing birth pool return bond checks at the moment.
