Hearing Auckland’s audiologists in Remuera provide expert hearing advice and solutions to boost your confidence and reconnect you to family, friends and the wider world
At Hearing Auckland, we provide expert, independent hearing care you can

trust. Our fully trained audiologists, offer hearing tests and personalised hearing aid solutions to help you stay connected to the world around you. Seeing a client’s face light up when they hear sounds they’ve been missing is the most rewarding part of our work.

Unlike large retail chains, we are a registered charity focused on our clients' needs, not sales targets. We know that no single product suits everyone - that's why we offer a wide variety of brands and hearing aid models. Our compassionate team provides honest advice, ongoing support, and access to funding for those who need it.

You can see us for:
* Ear wax micro-suction appointments with registered ear nurses from the Ear Nurse Specialist Group
* Hearing tests and audiology support from qualified audiologists who are registered members of the New Zealand Audiological Society
* Tinnitus testing and support
* Hearing aids from all major brands (we are not owned by a hearing aid company or overseas corporation)
* Hearing aid repairs and support even if you purchased your hearing aids somewhere else
* Offering free, friendly, helpful and independent advice on hearing loss
* Community outreach and support especially with our local Maori and Pasifika communities
* Raising the profile of hearing issues with the general public

A big "Happy Birthday" to our founder Kathleen Hurd-Wood (today would be her 139th birthday!)

Kathleen founded our charity all the way back in 1932 and we're very proud of our long history serving the community. Our beautiful premises on St Vincent Ave is actually Kathleen's former home!

Our audiologists Peter and Mani were able to upskill and engage with the community at the New Zealand Audiological Society annual conference last week in Wellington.

Professional development is important to us at Hearing Auckland, to make sure we're always delivering the highest quality hearing and ear care services.

Our ear nurse team of Vivien and Justine will be heading to their annual conference for registered ear nurses later this year.

When you book an appointment at Hearing Auckland, you can feel secure that a fully qualified and registered professional will be treating you.

This time last year we were visiting a Tokolauan community group to do some hearing screening. It's a big part of our mission to ensure all kiwis can access good hearing. If your community might benefit from some hearing screening, don't hesitate to get in touch!

In June our team visited a Tokelauan community group to do hearing screening. Peter and Rebecca from our clinic as well as Latasi Koro and Seiafi Sapolu from our trustee committee went along.

We know that transportation can be a barrier that prevents people from accessing hearing services. Because of this, we provide hearing screening at relevant community events as much as possible. Hearing Auckland are working closely with Ngati Whatua Orakei and Te Puea Marae to provide hearing services to our local Maori community. We are excited to develop new relationships with our Pasifika community as well.

If you’re interested in learning more about hearing screening and how it might benefit your community, we’d love to hear from you. Our phone number is (09) 524 9847 and our email address is info@hearingauckland.org.nz

Fakafetai lahi lele! Our team enjoyed providing hearing screening services at a Hauora day for the Tokolauan community last month. What a great day with so many health providers, and a great turnout from the community.

A massive thanks to Deb and the whole team at Te Kia Ora Marae for putting on a wonderful Hauora Day last week. We were thrilled to be one of the many practitioners on the day, and despite the heavy rain lots of whanau came out to check their hearing and invest in their health. Ka rawe!

Today is Earth Day! Here at Hearing Auckland we take time and care every day to reduce our environmental impact.

We offer hearing aid battery recycling, simply drop into the clinic anytime and bring in your used hearing aid batteries. We are also able to give a second life to hearing aids which are no longer needed, perhaps because you've upgraded devices or perhaps from a loved-one who recently passed away.

To learn more about how we're looking out for the environment, check out this blog post on our website: https://www.hearingauckland.co.nz/battery-recycling-at-hearing-auckland

We have new signs! Big thanks to the team at Speedy Signs in Newmarket for these beautiful new signs. We were one of the lucky recipients of their "Signs of Support" program last year, helping local charities to upgrade their signage. New clients and returning clients should have no trouble finding our hearing clinic at 8 St Vincent Ave with these new signs.
