Throughout pregnancy, there will be many changes to your body. While this is a beautiful journey of transformation, it can also cause extra strain on the spine. The lumbar region needs to support more weight. The lower rib cage may need to expand to make room for growing baby – aggravating the mid spine. Upper thoracic strain due to increased breast size is a common problem, along with pelvic misalignment which alters the pelvic opening.
