Just to let all my lovely clients know that with my mother-in-law Rena Hill, passing away there will be some disturbance in working hours at Oak Villa. Thanking you all in advance for you understanding. Also thanks to those that have already sent their condolences. For those that knew her they will know what a force of nature she was and that she will be greatly missed.

As of today, as most of you will be aware by now, we are moving to the traffic light system. This will mean that a condition of entry to Oak Villa will be that you need to show your vaccine pass. I have spoken to most of you already in person but for those I have not, please be aware that you will need to bring your vaccine pass to your next appointment. If you are unvaccinated and already have an appointment with me, please contact me and let me know. For those clients that have chosen to stay unvaccinated, stay safe and I will miss seeing you all and hope that the future brings an end to all this uncertainty.

Well, here we go again. I was hopeful that it may have been just the three days of lock-down but sounds like we will be going a little longer. I hope you are all staying safe and once again enjoying some quiet time, walks and relaxation if possible. Let hope we don’t have to go as long as last time as most of us were looking pretty feral by the time we were able to open again.
I will get in touch with each of you if you have appointments early next week, to arrange a later date. Hugs from us to you all and look forward to seeing you in the not too distant future.

Just to let all my lovely clients know that I am expecting to have my op on Tuesday 25th of May. Not sure how long I will be out of action but at least a few weeks. Rowena will be here and ready to take on some extra treatments so I will be contacting each of you if you have appointments with me to sort changing them or leaving them the same with Rowena.

I will be hoping to take this opportunity to rest but I may well be around, helping Rowena with the general running of the business. So, I hope to see some of you over this time.

As we are only weeks away from winter, eek, we will take this opportunity to move to winter hours as of today. This means we will only be open when we have treatments. So, if you are after a voucher or products, or just simply want to make an appointment, please contact us via Facebook, our website, email, phone or pop in to 170 Reservoir Road if the open sign is out.

Vouchers can be very easily sorted without the need for you to come to us and we are more than happy to hand deliver or email vouchers.
Rowena and myself, when I’m back in action, will still be offering treatments seven days a week, 8am to 8pm.
We will be offering some really great specials in the very near future to encourage you to come visit us at our new location, so you can see all the wonderful things we have on offer here.

With our move from Orwell street came sorting out and the need to get rid of things we do not have the room for.
So this Saturday we are having a big garage sale. We will also have another, if needed, in a few weeks.
We have amazing stuff, new, or hardly used and used, hundreds of items...
We had two accommodations at Orwell Street.
That means we have irons, kettles, toasters, bedding, towels and so much more.
We have had a few renovations over the years, so we have stuff left over, like paint, batts, and doors.
We also thought this would be a great time to sell some of our products that we need to move at a much-reduced price.
We have big ticket items like furniture, beds (one as new) office shelves and more…
To make this garage sale even better, if you buy an item you can walk away with a free gift, from herbal teas or product samples to treatments at our new spa in Reservoir road.
Please remember we may have to limit the number of people in Oak Villa at one time :)

As some of you will already be aware, over the last year part of Oak Villa Beauty Spa has moved to 170 Reservoir Road. As of the 1st of March, the rest of the beauty spa business has also made the move. We will still do a few previously booked treatments at Oak Villa until the 31st of March when, sadly and excitedly, Beverley will be completely moving out of 50 Orwell Street.
It will be a move tinged with sadness as Beverley has had a business of one form or another at 50 Orwell street since 2007. In that time, it has gone from a small home business to, at its height, five other therapists working in five treatment rooms. That was when the business finally pushed Beverley and Gary out and it became a standalone business and not a home.
In more recent years it has not only offered luxury treatments but accommodation as well. Providing a wonderful place to relax and unwind, whether you travelled miles or if you live just around the corner, once in Oak Villas accommodation you felt spoiled and pampered. Beverley is hoping that, down the track, she will be able to provide accommodation again as it complements the type of treatments that will still be offered by herself and Rowena.
Please feel free to come see our new premises anytime. You will still be able to pop in and grab a voucher or products or make an appointment. Beverley has big plans for the new business, so watch this space…however, with Beverley due to have an operation soon, things will be left in Rowena’s very capable hands while Beverley is recuperating. Once back in action we will both be moving on to the next exciting adventure at the new location. We will still be offering the same wonderful treatments and luxury that you have come to expect at 50 Orwell street.
Going forward, Rowena will still be running her own business as well as helping with Beverley’s clients. So please check out what she offers. Treatments like manicures and pedicures and amazing relaxation massages, plus lots more.
Our opening hours will be the same, with Reception hours being Tuesday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and Friday 9am to 3pm. As always, treatments will be available seven days a week, between 8am and 8.30pm. Any hours outside the reception hours are strictly by appointment only.

Beverley and Rowena would love to take this opportunity to wish all our lovely clients a very Merry Christmas and a much better New Year...We have really appreciated your support this year, especially as it was such an unusual one...Oak Villa will be closing at 12pm today, however both Beverley and Rowena will be around in between Christmas and New Year. So if you feel like treating yourself please get in touch. If not we look forward to seeing you all in 2021 when we will officially be open again from the 5th of January.

Rowena and Chantell are back working from 50 Orwell street again...as there is not as much room in the reception area, we are asking clients to follow the instructions given to you when you are sent an appointment reminder.

Please be aware that we will be taking every precaution on your behalf to keep everyone safe, with disinfecting between each person being done even more than usual. We hope in return you will do the same for us and other clients.
So please contact us to rebook your appointment to a later date if you have:
• Been in contact with someone that has suspected Covid 19 or has been oversea recently and not had 14 days isolation.
• If you feel unwell in any way, or have a sore throat, dry cough, headache, fever or shortness of breath.
• If you are already immune compromised or over 70 it is best for you to wait for your appointment until level 1.
This is going to be a very busy time for all Hairdressers, Massage and Beauty therapists, Osteopaths and all hands-on workers. Let’s be kind to each other and we will all get there safely...
