What a sweet boy. From - "he doesnt like to be touched near his ears"...to "please give me lots of scratches by my ears"... once the pressure was released from the zygomatic arch.
This was after some heavy duty tail bone work that had him almost sitting on me he was loving the pressure so much!! Lol!
Keen to see what the owner's next ride looks like and whether the need for head shaking is reduced. A gear check session will be up next if still not quite there

Love getting these little visitors. Didn't even know it was in there till I went in to open the curtains 🥰 Sat and chatted for a while, then once it was trying to get out 'through' the window I thought I'd better help.

A Gentle Guardian (Kaitiaki): While traditional Māori lore can view a fantail inside as an omen of death—stemming from the story of Māui and Hine-nui-te-pō—this is not always feared. Instead, it is often viewed as a preparation for transition or as a "friendly" visitor overseeing a spiritual transition.
Mindfulness and Presence: The bird's inquisitive nature often brings people back to the present moment, encouraging mindfulness.

In a healing room, a fantail (pīwakawaka) generally symbolises transformation, spiritual messages, and the gentle guidance of ancestors. While traditional Māori folklore sometimes associates them with warnings of death, this is often interpreted in a healing context not as physical death, but as the ending of a negative cycle and the beginning of a new, healthier one.

It’s March Madness, and I have a great offer for you. During the month of March, any first-time client can book and pay just $120.00 for two sessions!! This can be either for the horse or the rider, or one of each. If you have not had Contact Care from me before – or at all – this is a great opportunity to experience it.

Examples of horse issues can include – gait and transition issues, lack of mobility and performance, injury and pain, float scrambling.

As a rider, you may be experiencing – difficulty maintaining correct riding position, concussion, hip/knee pain when riding, falls and non-riding injuries.

T&C’s – must never have had any type of ConTact C.A.R.E session with me before. At least one session to be completed in March. Travel costs to the horse may be added if outside the Franklin area. CLIENT FEEDBACK

As an active gardener, cyclist and hiker I invariably injure myself and have crushed my ribs and other bones after falls.
I slipped badly and fell hard onto the edge of the kitchen bench recently, smashing my breast bone in the process. I was stunned for several minutes and needed to sit down and breathe in deeply. I felt quite light headed for much of the morning, and found lifting any type of weight above my waist/ chest quite painful and restrictive. This lasted for the next 5 days until I could see Janette.
When Janette works on me it's like I can feel the bone opening up and the gentle flow of blood filling the space. No more tension. The effect of the release continues to occur over the next few days where I sometimes feel a little tired. The session brings about big shifts to my body.
I've tried many techniques over the years but Janette offers something unique. Ask the horses she treats. She also did wonders for my dog and gave him a couple more years of comfort in his advanced years.

Taken me a while to share this one. But super thrilled to have the video. (Check out the ending when the release happens!! - watch his back legs!) This pony is new to it's owner. She has taken a bad fall off him, for which she has already had treatment for, so it was his turn! Not really a wonder she came unstuck over a jump because he "jumps straight up" (her words). The tailbone is our rudder (yes I say our - makes no difference if client is animal or human), and is also the centre for Contact Care's Coordination System.

Cool session with this big fella yesterday. Was pretty straight forward to begin and when I thought we were done, he made it clear we hadn't! Love the way the horses let us know 💜
There was still something going on with his skull, and as I checked different places he pulled his head away...until I got to the jaw. In fact it wasn't till I held both sides that I hit the jackpot. His owner had had to leave for part of the session, but had made it back just before this, so got to witness the magic. I wish we'd filmed it, cos it was quite a moment. I had him pushing into my back with his chest, and down into my hands with his jaw. So it was a pretty good squeeze! What a release. Once done he walked away, then had a good munch on his way, integrating the jaw further with what we had just released. Beautiful!
