It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and we’d love you to join us for a live wellbeing Q&A with Robyn Shearer, Deputy Director-General of Mental Health and Addiction and Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General of Health On Tuesday 22nd September at 5.30pm.

Our friends at Sparklers have just created a wonderful new workbook in time for Mental Health Awareness Week, and Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori (the week before!)

‘Tuputupu’ is informed by Te Whare Tapa Whā, and highlights the many wellbeing benefits that can come from the simple act of planting, nurturing and sharing kumara.

Check it out here: https://sparklers.org.nz/parenting/tuputupu/

Deep breath Aotearoa ... and especially those of you in Auckland.

After 102 days, New Zealand has four confirmed cases of coronavirus cases in South Auckland.

As of lunchtime tomorrow, Auckland will be in Level 3 for three days. That means you need to stay home to stop the spread unless you are getting essentials like groceries or are an essential workers.

Schools will only be open to the children of essential workers.

There will be no travelling to Auckland unless you already live there.

The rest of New Zealand will be moving to Level 2 which means no gatherings of more than 100 people.

Keep washing your hands, keep social distancing.

Are you All Right?

Though we’re all in this together, we’ve all experienced noho rahui/lockdown differently. It’s okay if you’re still feeling hesitant to get out and about, or if you’d rather stay in your bubble. We’re all adjusting at our own pace, and there’s no right or wrong way to feel about it all.

Let’s continue to be kind and look out for one another, and take note of those who might need a little extra aroha from us right now.
