šŸ„ 3 DAYS TO GO: Coaching Reimagined Is Almost Here! šŸ„

Friends, the countdown is ON!

In just 3 days, Coaching Reimagined will be in your hands—a groundbreaking collection featuring wisdom from 23 extraordinary coaches, including my chapter on "Mycelial Healing: Reconnecting the Fragmented Self.ā€

Have you ever considered how forests communicate through vast underground networks, and what this teaches us about human healing? In my chapter, I explore how true healing emerges from connection, not correction and why we cannot think our way out of patterns that were never created through thought.

I delve into how our emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being depends not on fixing isolated symptoms but on restoring vital connections within our internal and external ecosystem. Just as mycelial networks allow trees to share nutrients and support struggling neighbours, our approach to coaching should honour the interconnectedness of all aspects of human experience.

ā€œThe mycelial path asks us to surrender the expert stance and embrace the humility of the forest floor—receiving, connecting, nurturing without directing. To listen with all our senses to communication beneath the surface, to wisdom speaking through body and breath, energy and emotion.ā€ā€” Sarah Carruthers

The book launches THIS FRIDAY, and we would love your support:

Please please share my post and give us a shout out!

Coaching in relation to instruction and training was introduced in the field of academia around 1830. Sports coaching and business coaching extended the field and it was some time later before life coaching took shape (often credited to Thomas Leonard in the 1980s).

Hi New Plymouth Folks,

I’m curious if you can you recognise your emotions and manage them without getting swamped?

Are you able to motivate yourself to get jobs done, even when you don’t feel like it?

Can you stay calm under pressure and respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively?

Can you sense the emotions of others and respond effectively?

If you answered yes, it’s likely you have developed some of the skills that form the basis of Emotional Intelligence.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to recognise, understand and manage emotional information accurately and effectively, both within yourself and others.

ā€œWhat really matters for success, character, happiness, and life long achievements is a definite set of emotional skills—your EQ—not just purely cognitive abilities that are measured by conventional IQ tests.ā€ — Daniel Goleman

EQ is more important to your well-being and effectiveness than your IQ. Not everyone is born with such superhuman skills. But everyone is capable of improving them with practice. The key is having a starting point so you know what to improve. The Enneagram, a powerful personality system, provides profound insights into our core motivations, fears, and desires, making it an invaluable tool for enhancing EQ.

Our upcoming workshop merges the insights of the Enneagram with practical EQ strategies, offering a holistic approach to personal development. With just **six tickets left**, this is a unique opportunity to delve into both your emotional landscape and personality structure. Whether you're looking to improve your leadership skills, enhance your relationships, or simply understand yourself better, this workshop promises transformative insights and practical tools.

Don't miss out on this chance to elevate your emotional intelligence and unlock your full potential!

We are running a new course; "Raise EQ and self-awareness for you and your team: an enneagram intro for businesses" at Manifold, New Plymouth on Tue 23rd July with the amazing Julia Moore-Pilbrow.

The Enneagram is a profound system used in modern psychology to understand who we are, what holds us back, and how we can reach our highest potential. It describes nine different personality types, each representing a unique lens through which people think, feel, and behave in relation to themselves, others, and the world. Knowing your type can help you recognise your automatic reactions to life's challenges, uncover your core motivations and deepest struggles, and understand how these aspects impact those around you.

By exploring the enneagram, you can:
•Gain deep self-insight: understand your strengths, weaknesses, and core motivations.
•Improve team and client understanding: appreciate diverse perspectives and skills.
•Foster growth: develop strategies to overcome challenges and leverage strengths.
•Communicate more effectively: learn the best communication style for each team member.
•Enhance team performance: understand roles, reduce conflicts, and create common ground.

"It is not an error that you have been born as a sensitive human being, with a wide open and sometimes broken heart. You need not fix your vulnerability or cover up your tenderness. Your longing for union, wholeness, and integration is pure wisdom essence.

Please do not postpone your participation in this very rare world of love. There is no future moment to step all the way in. See that what you are does not need to be changed, healed, transformed, or otherwise subjected to spiritual process. Rest.

Right here and right now, you can lay your hands on your heart, touch the wet ground, and behold the miracle of the senses you have been given. You can speak kindness to another, touch and hold them close, and fall to the ground in gratitude for the reality of grace in its peaceful and wrathful forms.

Friend, open yourself and give your heart to this world. You have come here to do this and you can honor this vow that you made long, long ago."

~ Matt Licata

😘 Gratitude is an active affirmation of goodness. And recognising that the sources of this goodness are outside of ourselves is key to amplifying its impact.

🧐 Research shows experiencing gratitude leads to increased feelings of connectedness šŸ¤—, improved relationships, energy, altruism, productivity, resilience. And fewer symptoms of illness including depression and anxiety 😰.

šŸ”Š The more you express šŸ—£ gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.

What are you grateful for today?
