Kia ora,
We are so sorry, but we can only see you face to face in Levels 1 & 2.
We can, however, offer appointments via telephone or zoom/skype and
• diagnose your injury, advise on the management
• refer you for x-rays or ultra-sound scans
• email physio exercise plans with photos & videos
• deliver equipment to your doorstep eg crutches, tape, braces, moonboots, exercise band, rollers and more
Newtown Physio’s ACC contract covers the cost for moonboots, crutches hire and most knee braces

You can contact us by calling 04 3899605 or email reception@newtownphysio.co.nz to request an appointment. We check the messages and emails throughout the day.

All the staff at Newtown Physio are vaccinated, and we look forward to seeing you when able.

Newtown Physio is now open for face to face appointments. We will continue to screen all patients before the appointment and on arrival at the clinic.

You will be advised on our stringent health and safety procedures before you attend for any on-site appointments

Telephone or video appointments via skype or zoom are still available & home visits
If you have health issues or do not wish to visit the clinic yet, we can do ACC or private consultations on the telephone or with video via skype/zoom. We can also do home visits after discussion with a physiotherapist first

- You must call us first on (04) 389 9605 or email reception@newtownphysio.co.nz to make the appointment
- Patient bookings will be spaced
- Equipment and all surfaces are cleaned between each patient
- On arrival
- Wear a scarf or mask so your mouth and nose are covered
- Please distance yourselves as before when possible
- Wash hands at the sink in the treatment room for 20 seconds, then dry well with our paper towels

Newtown Physio Covid 19 Update 6 April 2020

Dear Client

Our policy updates are based on the most recent advice from the Ministry of Health and ACC.
This is some new information on appointments, for both new injury and follow-up appointments.
We think Newtown Physio is a good choice.

Here are the options we have available for you:

Telephone - call us on 04 389 9605 and we can talk to you about your injury and the best way we can help. Leave a message with your name and number and we will return your call during normal business hours

Video via Skype/Zoom – call us on 04 389 9605, and we will help you set this up on your computer. We will email instructions and talk you through these. Video enables us to see your injury, note any swelling and see any movement restrictions. We can demonstrate your exercises, practical modifications of day to day activities and correct posture. We can also courier crutches or direct you to our online shopping platform. See below.

Emergency appointments – to arrange an emergency appointment at the clinic you must speak with a physiotherapist first. An emergency could be an injury or condition causing continual, severe pain which you have just done, or which is suddenly causing major problems, ie interfering with your sleep, work and your day to day activities. You may require crutches which we can supply, strapping tape which we can advise you on how to use and manual therapy treatment to ease the pain and increase movement.
You will be advised on our stringent health and safety procedures before you attend for any on-site appointments
